The GSFL site showing clearances has been updated for season 2007.

http://www.gsfl.com.au/

Looks like Encounter Bay have been quite active, and to a lesser extent Myponga.

Encounter Bay is offering some serious cash around the place - people may want to be careful though, coaches mouth might be writing cheques that his club cant cash !!!

GSFL the crappiest football league in australia. nothing but a bunch of wannabees. can't get a kick in one league run off to a league with a lower standard and talk yourselves up to get big cash and to top it off the idiots running the clubs give it to you..

Id certainly back GSFL against most leagues
Certainlt towled up River Muray League for the last 3 years
You can go into selection who does or doesnt play but the record speaks for itself
Id go as far to say that Willunga or Langhorne Creek would beat any country league side

Interesting question. I'd say the club's that finished near the bottom of the ladder last year probably had the highest percentage of locals. I know during 2004 & 2005 Mt Compass basically had all locals playing and really struggled.

Even more interesting is how may locals play for the river Murrray league
Jervois for example
Please be mindful of the answer as they have the same problem as a Yankallila or Myponga or even Langhorne Creek as the population doesnt help the to be competitive with other sides
They have no alternative but to pay out cash. Sometimes in large amounts

i beg to differ tanttigers, if u were to go through last years side i reckon at least 15 played junior football at willunga, yeah a few went and played at a higher level but then returned, even nathan genovese that is playing there this year played a season of juniors at willunga.
should prob get the facts before bagging any club
