pfft 2 or 3 usernames...if only you knew.... the whole story that is before outing me.....

I reckon the story goes like this..... Oh im bored as today, what would a 12 year old do??? I know lets go online and pretend we are people we aren't, and then bag everyone!!!! Yay sounds like a great idea.

That proves you have no idea what you are talking about, shame on you getting on here and dobbing someone in when you hear half a story, did you have problems as a kid from people stealing your lollies or something? Do you now have the need to squeal like a pig? You will be punked young man.

Oh great.....now he's Ashton Kutcher!!!

Yeah I heard about this... maybe whufc can clarify. It was bound to happen... although I thought it would be the Grade 5 team
With that... a slight deflection to the next topic!

seems the r&c honeymoon has come crashing back to earth? Surely all BS aside SW have to be the favourites for the flag!? Cant even believe poeple have said r&c! Twice pummelled by last years premiers, and if it wasnt for the abandoned game SW would be sitting top anyway.

To be the best, you have to beat the best and rosies have failed at two attempts this year.

all was sorted out on the spot. both teams continued to play the game and EVERY bloke shook hands straight after the game.

no doubt what alot of people have heard is a tenth account of what happened and is exaggerated each time.

this bit doesnt seem to be my issue... its more when the bat makes contact with the ball, followed by the ball being picked up from the other side of the cones that causes my grief :?

Never one for excuses and sals west played good cricket BUT with us winning the toss and putting them in with great bowling conditions westies were 0 for 4 off 3 overs then the rain came for the next 15 overs and scotty mac and parkhouse made us pay getting the score to 0 for 106 at drinks...the ball was changed at around 18 overs? after drinks in good weather with a good ball we managed to bowl westies out for 202...our batting was terrible though in the chase with everyone playing shit shots to get out....like i said the other day sals west have a great record over us but havnt beat us in a final yet so we take alot of confidence out of yesterdays game knowing on a fine day with good pressure we can match them...westies are favourite now and you are right rockstar to be the best ya gotta beat the best but no flags are won in jan...jimmy is itching for the finals so he can bowl his marathon spells..

I noticed in a grade 7 game a player was given out "handled ball" what are peoples thoughts on this.

When do you appeal? first time or after several times?

We had a player in our game who continually picked the ball up after hitting it, once he went after it when it was about 2 metres of the pitch towards square leg.

What would you do appeal or not?

surely a appeal is warranted only if the batsmen stops the ball hitting the stumps with his hand? 2 metres is not that far really and if the ball is dead and no one is running who cares...

We didnt appeal and I dont think any of our players thought about appealing but I agree if the ball is heading towards the stumps then an appeal is warranted.

I always pick up the ball if it is dropped at my feet. Did it yesterday. Agree tho that if its going to the stumps, or if there is a close fielder that could pick it up and have a shot, thats the only time you should be appealing.

I never pick the ball up, and don't even like seeing blokes pick the ball up. That's what fielders are for and you don't want to see some wanker opposition clubs (like a certain grade 5 side) decide they are going to appeal.

I would expect the handled ball on this occasion was one where it was warranted.
