Watched "Deliverance" (1972) the other night.
Pretty good, but perhaps not as great as it's generally made out to be.

Probably for its time, fairly shocking (in one particular scene), but not so much today.
Burt Reynolds plays the gung-ho outdoors enthusiast well and John Voight, Ronny Cox and Ned Beatty round out the main cast.

But vastly overrated.

Certainly not worthy of all the five star reviews its getting...

Went to see it tonight - FANTASTIC.

Great story, great acting, great soundtrack, great sets - rarely a movie moves me as much as this one did.

Any good ? thinking about taking my kids in the next few days. Haven't been to the drive-ins for decades, I have a station wagon and was thinking I would reverse the car and lift the boot up like the old days, are you still allowed to do this ?

Yes it is still allowed to park the car this way, as long as there isn't any strange sounds coming from the back seat. ;)

Despicable Me.
Kids moofie, but still great to watch.
Steve Carell was brilliant and Russell Brand does a good job too.
