Lads, for $80 a night stay at the East West Motel in Ceduna. Drive to Denial Bay Jetty across the border ( 15min ) and catch snook day or night using the good old Halco silver lurers with a red spinner on it. Tommies, Salmon, Whiting, Squid and Crabs are on tap. Correct, 6-7 hours to get there so make it a weekender and load up the eskies with seafood. Tide must be moving and not a dodge. Fish from the end and cast over the broken patches for the snook around 30/40mts out and retrieve, you will see where i mean ( not straight out from the end ). Never missed out there and will be there on the 7th of December. Happy days.

I travel from Adelaide for work and have around a dozen stops and end up in Ceduna. Make my way along the coast the next day and stay at Lincoln the next night. Usually have about 2 hours at Locks or off the beach at Elliston for KGs. Never fished at Fowlers but will definetly take on any info you have and give it a crack.

Well it has been a very very long time .
So day after xmas winds blowing cooler than Xmas day.But I headed down to the lake anyway.Wind was blowing very strongly headed to the side of the lake with it at my back .Third cast and some tiny bream were jumping at my popper fly.I noticed that my newly tied fly matched the thrown out crayfish shells littering the lakes floor .Anyway that was it for that side of the lake.
So I thought the wind would also be at my back on the other side .Well I was wrong .First cast on this side was a shocker .But suddenly I'm on and off of a small Bream.Next cast was a shocker again but I'm on and this small bream landed

After that fish I continued on my way but that was it .Two hours in a wind that was getting worse and no more fish.
But I'm on the board for this summer yippee

Lots of nice Gar from Moonta jetty a couple of days ago, didnt have to burley up which suggests they are swimming in schools. There were breaks in catches but were only short, you dont wont calm winds either.

If anyone likes yabbies, i suggest you jump in your car with a few opera house nets and get down to the Riverland. You will need a boat but if you PM me, I will let you know where to go for a guaranteed feed.

Got 16 nice Yellow fin in two days in the shallows at Tennyson. From 30-38cm, some nice ones in amongst that lot.

At $8 a pack of tubies though, you need to make sure you snaffle a few.

Time ? Dawn or dusk. Both times last week was on dawn, got there at 5am for 5:45 sun up.

Conditions ? No wind, make sure there is no wind. Thats about it.

Tide ? Preferably in coming or at low, but I got 10 on high tide last Wednesday.

Try this before you head down there : http://www.willyweather.com.au/

Great site for the weather forecasts. I go just South of the Sand dunes that are opposite the rowing club. They are also getting quite a few gar at dawn there as well.

The people in the water is somewhat correct, there is lots of beach though so just look for a gutter.

Too windy? Anything over about 10kmph is suppose....really want it nice and still. I was going to try at duck later in the week but weather is looking a bit shitty.
