pigskin wrote:great system for MOST LEAGUES, but would have thought the Mallee was not one of them. Could spell end of a few clubs, which is an injustice to the people who have worked so hard to keep them running!!
Sure Karoonda are fine right now, but they have a heap of imports! What happens when/if they leave especially if its a mass exodise? I'm sure peake & Murrayville are in the same boat

Bringing the points system into the league will destroy the mallee football league within years ... most clubs struggle to field two senior teams as is even with the help of players travelling from Adelaide. It can become a bit stale playing in comps with a small amount of teams playing against the same faces once a month and i think that is one of the positives about city based players , im sure the locals enjoy having fresh faces and different personalities come and go. Everyone loves to hang **** on Karoonda about paying players but the fact is its all fun and games and there are more then just them that are in that boat. Without it everyone would be in the pubs watching football cause there would be no comp. Good luck attracting players without that finiancial incentive because it is a big commitment travelling everyweek for a game of footy. In the end its more than just a game of footy for some of these towns .... without it , what else do they have ???

your also 100% right mate whats going on thats 4 people making sense in one day is that some kind or record!![]()
i think every club in the league has at least 4 or 5 u/17 playing B grade to fill the side some even more and plenty of players also play 2 games on a sat to fill the A grade that in its self tells you that the points system is never going to work in this league it WILL be dead in 2 years IMO
but hanging sh!t on karoonda is fun![]()

GWW,
to be honest if hillam and crouch were going to IMP'S i would be very surprised if either play consistent A grade footy crouchy has 1 good game every 5 or 6 weeks and yes it is a good game but in the RMFL that aint going to hold up is it?? and hillam hmmm not sure what he could offrer IMP'S a back pocket maybe???
and mcardle has'nt left peake he is coaching the U/17 and i believe has a hand in coaching the B grade side??? but dont qoute me on that i'm sure the 2nd best butcher in the league will correct me on this as his a bit of a keyboard warrior but hey i'd be pi$$ed to if david hands shop was half his size yet still has a much better bussiness if only his guts worked that way hey bullsh!t i mean bullfrog!!!!!
