Why isn't Haddin in the team or is he another who has elected not to play T20?

Dear me :-o

I wonder when the love affair between selectors and him will ever stop.

I will defend lee. He is a good t20 player, he has plenty of ipl experience. T20's are hit and giggle. Got no problem with him in squad

Because paine is a better keeper and a better t20 batsman.
Paine is the heir to the captaincy i believe.
Would love to get him in test side

If nothing else, the leadership role here is inking him in as the heir to Haddin's Test job (which he would be capable of now IMHO)...

I don't know about Test captaincy, but let's face it, who, other than Khawaja, is looking like getting an extended run in the national side, that would play on after Clarke retires?

We talk about plenty of potentials, but Khawaja will stick, Paine is the new "next big thing," so unless someone pops up out of the blue, he might default into it...

I'll agree to that.
Paine is a skipper in waiting the only thing that may hold him back is he is a keeper and the Aussie selectors have not liked the keeper to be skipper in the past. Gilchrist & Marsh could of captained Australia at test level but didnt get a look in as they were keepers.
Sack the selection panel and bring in some new young blood is what CA should be doing.

Tait.....geez, they're not serious about winning the series obviously. He can go for 40 off his 4 overs and pick up a couple of wickets. I would've thought saving runs was the idea of the game. Obviously not. Lee? Strange choice that one. I'd have Dirk Nannes over both of them. Or Nathan Bracken. Both of them use their change of pace perfectly for this format.

I'm very happy Clarke has quit T20. He's no good at the format. Hopefully we'll see him take the "other" formats seriously (I'd be very happy if he quit the ODI's too) and start making runs at the longer form.
