I shouldn't laugh because seriously that is just appalling .. Honestly, WTF?!?!
Understand we're in a trough in terms of our cricketing ability, but SURELY proper presentations, tributes and farewells can be arranged and afforded.
Just incredible!!

We pride ourselves on being professional and part of that is to be a gracious host and loser where applicable and regardless of what other countries may do. However the ACB and Channel 9 shoudl be ashamed of themselves re the presentation today. Really poor that Cook wasn't presented with his medal - didn't the ACB have some over paid event coordinator overseeing it and assisting Tubby with the presentation?

Exactly. That's the whole argument here.
Do we know for sure that was the communication between the umpires though ?

Hmm, not the brightest spark around, are you? Referrals been around as long as you can remember too? The umpire gave it out, so "as long as you can remember" ago, Bell would be out. The whole point of the referral system wasn't to stop the ones that looked doubtful, the point was to stop the obvious mistakes. Was that an obvious mistake?
Ah, why bother? Like beating your head against a brick wall sometimes.

Four years ago, when Australia wrapped up a 5-0 series win over England, the presentation ceremony was far more extravagant, with individual tributes to Shane Warne, Paul McGrath and Justin Langer, who were retiring at the end of the game.
