If empty cans and bottles are worth 10c each, how much do the recycling depots get for them?

With wages rent etc, they must receive much more than the 10c......

In Melbourne we rented for the first two years, first in Malvern then in Olinda.
Both times the bond had been paid into funds held by an independent authority.
The agents supplied two forms after we moved out.
One was our application to have it released, and the other from the agent saying there was no dispute for which it needed to be held longer.

I assume it is similar here - we did rent in SA for 6 months in 2003, but my wife handled it that time and I don't remember the details.

Contact the Residential Tenancies Tribunal and they will inform you of the process. They hold the monies in their possesion.

Private Rental or Agent?

Either way you should have recieved a letter from the SA Tennancies Branch/board saying that a 'bond' was lodged with them and the amount.

To get the bond back you fill in a refund form - which your landlord needs to sign to say they are giving back all monies etc, etc, etc.
You get what you give....

I rented for one year off a 'friend' still had full lease agreement though.

Did ALOT of free electrical work for them and when i left they refused my bond!!

Apparently i had to clean out the range, toilet and kitchen filters in the fans.
The grout on the stone fireplace wasn't scrubbed.
The OUTSIDE concrete wasn't mopped.
And finally they wanted every window in the house cleaned inside and out.

So i stood my ground, went to the tribunal and got 80% back.

Very stressful experience that broke up a friendship.

Just be careful when calling them - some of their advice services have a fee. I rang them once for some advice and the call ended up costing $96 or thereabouts!

Thanks I jumped on the Just Commodores forum and got the answer of 750kg.

Did 500kg and my ute went VERY low.

Won't push anymore than that i think!!
