totally agree reb 3points to make on this absolute superstar 1.he saves 20 to 30 runs in the field in nearly every game he plays 2.he can bat in a.aggresive mode if quick runs are required b.can batten down the hatches and play a slow build up type of innings if that is the situation 3.bowling has improved out of sight in the last 2 seasons !!!!!!!!!

AU can ill afford to lose allrounders of ROYs calibre.
AH said we would struggle without him, his prophercies correct so far.
EG have had COLLINGWOOD + FLINTOFF as allrounders .....

There have been some serious problems with the Aussie side all summer- exacerbated by Symonds injury.
It's our batting that's been a concern- we've been i more trouble than not throughout the summer, always relying on someone to come in & "save" the innings.
Our bowlers have done their jobs well.
I believe we need a settled line-up at the moment, & once we get back to making good consistent totals, then we can rotate/rest players.

Watching the second ODI final last night.Mrs.Boon in her most critical mode watching Watson bowl remarks-" He looks like he bowls in dead straight...".

You can imagine how amazed I was. After 15 years together,I think she might finally be getting this game, only to come up with this gem while he was batting-"Is he the goose who was bowling earlier?" "Yes babe" I said.

"Pffft, cant bat any better than he bowls, how does he get a game?" MY GOD! Where is mal when I need him.

But wait,Little Miss Boon chimes in (she is 6)-"'Coz he's hot Mum."

The pain,OH THE PAIN.
PAFC. Forever.

LOOK OUT, WE'RE COMING!

I really hope you are wrong REB, but unfortunately I agree with you. If we pull off the win in this World Cup, then it will be something special.

LOL@ Booney!

Here's what you do for the future Mr Boon. When young hopeful meets Dad for Lil Miss Boon's first date, make sure you have a Samurai sword hanging up on the wall. When Lil miss is out of earshot you can point to the young hopeful's rod and say, if that comes out then this comes out (the Sword).

Problem solvered.

regards,

REB

Symonds is almost irreplaceable, and it's wonderful he's finally being realised as the valuable player he is. He's also the best cricket commentator in the Channel 9 box.
