Maybe, but the Lions were idiots going for him in the first place when they had a much better prospect in Bradshaw already in their nest, abiet with some injury issues ...

Not to mention they lost a potential 10 year CHF/CHB in the process.

That has nothing to do with the real issue ... alcohol and being arrested.

Plenty of people can manage to stay up late and not get into trouble, but Fev obviously has a problem or 20 ...

4.30 is indeed an issue here. As you say, plenty of people can stay up late and not get into trouble, but you can't number Fevola amongst them. Plenty of people can drink alcohol and not turn into an idiot, Fevola is not one of them. Plenty of people can manage to have a good time without being arrested. Once again, Fevola is not a member of that club.

When you're out in the nightclub district at that hour of the morning, there's a fair chance drinking would be the motivation, and at that time drinking to excess is a given. The time of 4.30 was raised because if Fevola was able to get himself home at a reasonable hour, he would minimise his potential for getting into the type of trouble that gravitates towards him.

My point was with his appalling record dangling overhead like the sword of Damocles, you'd like to think he would be avoiding late nights out in night clubs. Some people can stay out of trouble at that time, Fevola seems incapable of it.

"Uneasy rests the head that wears the crown."
"The value of the sword is not that it falls, but rather, that it hangs."

It may appear this time, the sword has fallen.

He might still get that if they give him the flick, there's no behaviour clause in his contract.
It's all the SANFL's fault.

And didn't we all say at the time that was a huge mistake? If we all saw the potential problems, why didn't Brisbane?

Because Voss thought he was so bloody good at man management, and also thought Jono Brown's influence would help.

Just one of the reasons I'm sure for the back room clean-out of Brisbane's football dept over the summer.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Geez i thought Brisbane was dumb to recruit Fev and totally amazed on the money they are paying him.Barto if that is true that there is no behaviour clause in his contract, that is amazing, and goes to show when people can make stupid decisions in outlaying money that is meant to be for the future of the club.Maybe these great people at Brisbane can get together with the same at the Redbacks.

Almost feel sorry for the guy, but then again how many chances? Media are now saying Brisbane have to keep him on the list as he wont survive in the real world, I think the real world is exactly what he needs to gain some perspective....
