look the way he bowled today with the new ball was very good. he bowled to 2 blokes that were in fair nick and was very unlucky runs through the slips and the like but we needed wickets so he was'nt getting a 3rd man.

Yeah mate ill single him out, he is old enough and sure as hell ugly enough to cop what ever criticism comes his way, especially if he wants to open his mouth and say stupid stuff. No doubt he has plenty to learn about himself and about playing at higher levels, he needs to realise that himself as well.

Im also not doubting he will be an asset in future carnivals, and im sure in 2yrs he will be a bit more ready to go again.

carey wrote:another thing you may not realise is phantom its hard for a young lad like pidge to bowl in to the wind every game (except today) when you have blokes GULLY,FRICK,HOLLAND,WRIGHT all opening bowlers for there club sides with the breeze its hard to give everyone the breeze at there back.

WTF kind of comment is that? The breeze? Pull your head in mate, seriously you can not tell me you think the breeze has oh such an amazing advantage  IMO the only time the "breeze" really needs to come into consideration is if a bloke swings the ball and the breeze is coming from the right direction to aid that. Otherwise a bowler should be able to bowl in any condition! ESPECIALLY if they are part of a representative program!

Bowler yep no worries i can accept that, i mean batsmen dont average a touch under 5, but bowlers batting 6 & 7?

Selfish captain perhaps?

35 runs @ 17.50, considering i was batting bottom 3 i dont think thats too bad.

That would have been good enough for 7th in the batting this year out of 13 so F**K YOU HUTCHY!!!

your better to remain silent and be thought of as a fool rather than open your mouth and remove all doubt!!

Captain would have a say i would imagine, if not perhaps he could try taking his balls out of his handbag?

0,0,2*,0 hmm.... at which point here do you think he realised he lost confidence?! You would make a good aussie selector!

PhantAm/Rockstar/Gobbler,

For starters, because you are hiding in a second rate grade in another Association, facing junk-time bowlers with a f**ked ball, you aren't here.. Therefore, you have NO idea what has transpired apart from score summaries. Your uninformed opinion is neither wanted or appreciated and just make yourself look & sound like a d!ckhead. And before you go ahead and say you would've made this side, I don't pick lazy, Division 4 keyboard hero's, just blokes with REAL application and desire! To single a kid out in his first Championship and can him is just gutless. It's YOU, Gobbler, who needs to pull your oversized, over-opiniated cranium in!

I couldn't be prouder of these lads and my EXCEPTIONAL captain, and if not for missing the boat on a few key moments in the last 2 games, it could've easily have been 4-1 and challenging for the title. As it was, we beat the 2 sides who played off today for the Championships. :?

Highlights of the tournament have been;

Harry's 5/38
Superbad's 65 vs NSW B
Hoddo's 82 (was 11 runs short of a green baggy)
Jon Smith 85, 50 & 47 & an All-Australian cap
Gulls 5/67
MacDonald 54 & other selfless innings (you might learn something from this Gobbler..)
Cossens 71 and last game in 6 Championships

Well done boys. Enjoy the night and we'll be in real good shape in Melbourne in 2012 - without lazy, sniping pr!cks!

so yes the figures arnt great but hey sh!t happens...............

but all in all bowled ok being SA's leading wicket taker at an average of 13
