Hey Herder or should i say walrus :P ;)

Good luck next week with the carnival, the boys have had the best possible lead up and i believe you have a great mix of young and experienced as well as a wonderfull fielding side! I not only look forward to seeing competitive (and hopefully successfull) results, but hearing personal achievements and growth as players from the side as blokes step up a knotch and push themselves that bit further! Perhaps this wont be the break through year for the champ win, but its a great stepping stone for plenty of the kids, and next champs in QLD should be the major and achievable goal!

Timmy Hodson still remains my fav for all aussie selection and im going to jump on Pidge as my dark horse - i think he is young and keen and commited enough to listen and learn and grow and try and keep trying all week long, and will have opportunities a plenty to take wickets and show his worth.

SA batted first in a 38 over game 9/158 (after being 2/8 off 10)
Ash 50 odd smith 48 over 100 partnership out of 158

Vic southern 3/161 off 35.2
Wrighty 1/25 off 8 bowled very well
Holland 1/28 off 8
And there was a run out.

20 runs short in the end not good enough from 9 other wickets to make 50 after 2 blokes hit 100 partnership but it's a start for the boys and we will come back from this.

On a good note fielding/catching was the best I've seen in my time in ass. Cricket

Now, Now Phantom, you can't be laughing at your own jokes... That would be like Jeff Stephens giving himself out LBW. Just can't happen.

Love Timmsy.

SA and VIC Southern Districts squeezed in 38 overs each on a hardwicket (bit of rain in Sydney). SA batted first and made 151 (MacDonald 57, Smith 47). Sthn Disctricts got the runs with seven wickets to spare.

Good luck tomorrow against VIC West. Suburbs boys.

20 runs short? id say you were more like 7 batsman short! You lost around 8/58 from the rest of the "batsman" combined?! Was the pitch doing much or what? Did SD jsut bowl really well?

2/8 off 10  in a 38 over game id say that just about shot you in the foot! Did well to post 158 really looking at that, but really wouldve thought with the lineup you would have made around the 180 mark.

Oh well always tomorrow.

Hard wicket probably all week. SD bowled well at the start but we started off too slowly.
