don't you worry, much, much more infrastructure will be created to accommodate the growing population.
But the locals are worried their local council and thus they will be stuck with paying for it when they don't want it to happen...

The Government have decided to move it from Woodside to Mount Barker because this will annoy more people.

BUT, with the general acceptance from the locals, there are sure to be hundreds more trucked in to the area &, as Inverbrackie can't hold probably more than 400 refugees, they will have to be housed within the local community. So yes, they probably will be housed in Mount Barker, Nairne, Woodside, Littlehampton etc., etc.

I wonder how all those Kuchels, Zankers, Liebelts, Paechs, etc. living in those areas will feel about the influx of all those foreigners. ;)

No need to worry. sturt don't work the area now so why would they bother to develop a ground there. They spend more time in Murray Bridge. No wonder chandler gave Blackwood to west. South are better than sturt at developing kids and areas, thats unless you go to a private college and are part of the old boys club. !!!!!! :D :D

Yes that was my point. Foreign is in the eye of the beholder.
IIRC Hahndorf was founded about 2 years after Adelaide, and the Anglican Church was, and still is, in English St.

No the one Anglican Church is in English St. The two Lutheran ones are in Main St and Church St.
It always amused me when I sang in the annual Christmas choir at Hahndorf that the organising committee had to be reminded by the Lions Club who funded it that there were Anglicans in Hahndorf.
[ And that there were some Catholics, too, served from the Mt Barker diocese.]

It almost seemed the Anglican Church had been confined to that narrow side street called English St, so it could be conveniently overlooked.
The rotation for the service inserted into the carol night usually went Lutheran, Lutheran, Anglican, Catholic, er.. should we consider any other group? No? OK. Lutheran..

What, no methodist/Congregationalist/Presbyterian - Uniting Church in the christmas carols rotation or are they shunned by "Big Three" in the annual Hahndorf Christmas Charols.

Or was the the fact the strict Methodist no alcohol policy didn't sit well with the Luthernas or Catholics so they were deliberately excluded from the rotation? Or maybe their was an inter-denominational crises in hanhorf 60 years ago which resulted in an ex-communication of the Methodists/Presbys or Congregys wich resulted in a urgent town meeting (chaired by the LIONs club) that set the course for the current carols rotation....
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

I have no idea actually.
My experience was only during the period I lived in the outskirts of Hahndorf from 1983 to1996, but I think the Lutheran dominated committee only noticed the mainstream groups as they saw them.
It didn't bother me, as I'm not religious despite my family's Salvo background - I was only interested in the music and the collection for the CFS.
My wife who was brought up in the Church of Christ but called herself a "spiritual Catholic" wasn't worried about it either - just mildly amused.
