NORWOOD:

In: Luke Jericho (returning), Brendan Littler (returning), Nick Ramsey (Glenelg), Nathan Eagleton (West Adelaide / Port Power / Western Bulldogs), Jace Bode (Sturt), Jamie Vlatko (returning), Matthew Suckling (Port Melbourne), Jordan Johns (Port Power / South Adelaide), Darren Pffiefer

Out: Tim Weatherald (retired), David Trotter (overseas), Daniel Gorringe (Gold Coast), Paul Puopolo (Hawthorn), Nick Duigan (Carlton), Andrew Lee (North Adelaide), Jimmi Savage (GWS Rookie), Gavin Roberts (Fremantle Rookie), Nick Lower (Fremantle Rookie), Simon Phillips (Power), Tom Jonas (Power rookie)

Look at the outs from last season. Weatherald, Pup, Duigan, Lower, Phillips all pretty good players no longer inlcuded in the salary cap. The only big name players we have recruited are Jericho, Eagleton and now Pfeiifer. The rest wont be on big salaries. Remember Phillips and Jonas are no longer our players so dont count on Salary Cap.

Agreed with your losses reckon you'll be well under. Don't forget though Phillips and Jonas still count against your cap but a nominal amount. Certainly would be under what I imagine Phillips would've been on per game.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Huh? How much is the nominal amount?
Thought Phillips was part of Port's main list.

I think the nominal amount is $500 per game.

NM I thought it was $350 for a League game I was told that figure years ago so not surprised if it has increased.

Interceptor with some clubs having more AFL listed players than others having a nominal figure agaisnt each game AFL listed play for their SANFL club counters that potential inequality. It is a paper amount, no money goes to the player because as you say the AFL club pays their wage.

Even at $500 it is still a win for the SANFL club because a player of that calibre generally is worth much more than that in SANFL terms.

Phill Lounder is too tall to be an accountant.

Good to hear Ben going back and having a crack.
I would have thought Wing or Flank would suit his style better.

Where are our recruits?? if this years finals series is anything to go by and with the list management in the off season by other clubs. Centrals, Eagles and Norwood are going to be the teams to beat and Westies look better placed then us.
