It's always been cold meat and salads in our house for Christmas, never hot food. Nothing like cold cuts of ham off the bone, and cold turkey roll. All the old favourites too - Pasta Salad, Curried Rice Salad, Coleslaw.

Then followed up with Grandma's trifle - especially when she forgets whether she's put the brandy in and adds it twice. =p~

We live in the Southern Hemisphere A Mum, might be time you changed up the tradition! :D

Well actually GN - lol - unlike my grandmother and mother (They used to do hot christmas all the time) I have always done cold christmas meals... however... this year with eldest A Son branching out into a new family - they are having cold lunch at his partners house - so thought I'd do the 'good mum' thing and do a hot dinner for them here.

I will survive I'm sure :D

PS: Don't have a webber :(

Just make sure A Son or A Husband keep a steady stream of cold beverages heading your way and you should be right. :D

There's one at Semaphore too (where I recently tried Junior Mints for the first time) - Sadly they only had the dark Hershey's in stock when I was last there.

The prediction for my Adelaide Hills location on Christmas Day is 30C - those 4 degrees make a lot of difference.
[Unfortunately, they also do in the winter..]

Yes - same here - so that should be good - also colder night before and colder/cool change on Sunday - so might not even reach 30 (I hope) lol.

Haha I wish...even if I had that sort of cash to spare so I could just hope on a plane whenwever I the fancy takes me there ain't no new passengers going nowhere til they clear the backlogs http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-12057065

At least it ain't just us...most of Europe is falling apart this week...so I'll hang on a bit longer til it's only strikes and volcanoes I need to worry about

Yeah I know.

My nephew managed to get on a plane from Berlin to Adelaide last night so he can be here for Christmas ... it was starting to look dodgy for a while and he could have been bailed up back there for days.
