That's standard for most companies, at least some will give you a 1 year contract otption though.

Warranty is manufactures warranty anyway.

Correct.

3 actually offer an extended warranty for the term of the contract for an extra $50, which I've got. IMO 3 is one of the best mobile phone providers out there.

I was happy with my Orange CDMA phone that worked in the Dandenong Ranges, and points beyond, until they closed it down months before the Telstra carrier system was to be shut down.
I was offered a free 3 phone if I transferred to their plan but the area around where I lived was a black hole for 3 reception - they admitted that when I raised it.
They turned down my request for a cheap unlocked phone as compensation for their turning off CDMA so early.

I bought my next phone outright and used it without problem on Optus, via iSIM, for 6 years.
It is only out of action now because I can't get a new battery for it any more.
So, unless they have contracted to use HP's immediate-post-warranty implosion technology I wouldn't worry too much about warranty...

Punish them by making them go and try to get on a Eurostar train (the Chanel tunnel ones)

On last nights news the queue was 1...yes o-n-e...mile long at St Pancras station and taking 5 to 6 hours to reach the front

That would learn 'em some patience

******* soccer on FOX sports, FFS I can barely tolerate the live telecast but do we have to put up with the damn repeats of that sh!tful recreational pursuit (I refuse to call it a sport). How to stuff up my holidays when i want to watch sport. Put on footy repeats please, or Rugby, or more World series cricket classics. Gee Lawn Bowls is prefreable to that rubbish
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Ditto Thiele, woke up with a crook back yesterday, and have pins and needles right down my right arm, even holding something as light as an iced coffee makes my arm ache :(

Searched most of the North Eastern suburbs looking for a chiro that could fit me in as my usual chiro closed for Christmas on Wednesday - as luck would have it

Woolworths and their pitted olives that aren't pitted. Ate one tonight and found out it wasn't pitted by way of a shattered tooth and the most excruiating toothache ever. I have been trying to sleep since 10pm and can't. I have driven around Adelaide looking for a 24 hour chemist but can't find one. I found one that is open until midnight which didn't help me at 4am.

I'm pretty sure the next thing that's going to give me the shits is trying to find a dentist that hasn't closed down over this period.

Cleaning the shed...........................

I'm 1/2 way through day 2 and finally starting to find the floor and my work bench, don't think I'll be able to get anything in or out of my carport for a couple more days 'til it all goes back (this time where it was meant to be)

Cleaned the shed with the intentions of putting the TV, PS3 & have the Guitar Hero drum kit set up ready for a play.
Monday I was very happy with my efforts, for it to have no effect yesterday as the shed was unbearable in yesterdays heat.
Needs some insulation & air con.
Winning isn't everything, it's the only thing.
