Know you're nearing 40 when you remember all those 'rumours' about Cornesy.

On 5AA one time he attributed them to a fur coat that would make Liberace blush that he used to wear...

Telephone numbers with two number prefixes, such as 51 (we used to have 47 as kids, when living down the Port way).

When the local kids shows, like C'mon Kids, Super Cartoon Show, Earlybirds etc used to have prize vans going around, and they would advertise where they were going to be, and hoping it would be within walking distance (happened once to me, they were in a park around 50m from my house).

Three daily editions of "The News" - the Sport edition (available around 11am), the City-State (about 12.30pm) and the Last (around 3.30 - 4.00pm).

Being a roadside seller of "The News" :) . Had a good spot on Tapleys Hil Road, outside the Hendon Hotel for a while, good fun being a Norwood fan in winter, wearing the duffle coat to keep warm, in Port country.

What a brilliant topic this is, some of these might have already been done..

Bush Biscuits, Sunny Boys and Razz in the school canteen
The games arcade at the anzac highway end of the sideshow alley at the bay - the games were all 20c
Count Dino from Central Furnishers at Hindmarsh where Ch 7 is now
Showbag ads on TV
Big Ben and Ma Kelly's pies
Junction Markets (when it was good!!)
Touring Cars at Adelaide International Raceway
Black Thunders & The Rock N Roll Roadie
Scott McBain...on your wireless!
KG's Footy Show
Sheffield Shield Cricket from Adelaide Oval on Channel 9

Someone mentioned the old paper bus tickets before - I have got a couple of wads of those that i got from the steamranger office at Victor Harbor Railway station about 3 years ago
Trust the process.

217 01 01 the Channel ten Christmas Appeal.

And those albums they use to release to go with them "Songs of hope and happiness" or something like that. And you could only buy them at Shell Service Stations.
