Why the change of heart sweetlips, Birdwood to Lobethal. Big fan of wooden spoons? 8)

That's one more than Torrens Valley, Kersbrook, Echunga, Meadows, Kangarilla, Gumeracha, Nairne-Bremer and possibly Sedan-Cambrai and Maccy!

Surely the birdwood faithful aren't that confident? "Kicking the s@#t out of" kersbrook and echunga and even gum's too? is a fairly big call!

Typical Birdwood arrogance. Ask them when their last flag was though?

I've said before that i think depth will be Birdwood's weakness. You only have to look at year gone Rhys Parasiers getting a few A grade games. Was a solid B grader at Kersbrook but a long way off A's. Some say it's the last few that win you flags.

kangarilla are in trouble..

wakefield is looking for greener pastures, crichton has apparently signed for encounter, lipari is playing at maccesfield and trent thortpe is not playing at all. raidis is also hanging up the boots.

5 of their 7 top players from the 2009 senior colts flag are looking at leaving because the club has made no contact with them about next year and are showing little interest in retaining them.

most of the players they recruited for last season are moving back to their original clubs and there are some local blokes who are considering moving on.

what the hell is happening down at the southern blues?

Very interesting as when I spoke to the coach last week he said things are looking up at Kangys, signing a few players and still in talks with plenty more. Be interesting to see the outcome then.

I have heard from a few young long time local lads who have been loyal and invoived at the blues for years, that they are not likeing how the club is being ran and the general vibe around the place. Would be a shame to see the roo's go down so swiftly considering they won the flag there first year back in the HFL! but it has been a bit of a down slide from there? I agree with u there "what the Hell is going on at the southern blues"

Think you'll find the Wakefields are going to karoonda, crichton encounter bay (like u said) & lapari back to sacred heart. The other 4 - 5 blokes that came from cove are going back.

I have been following this forum for a while now and im really confused as to why birdwood would wait till being dropped from the central div to start spending up big on recruits? Blokes such as switala etc. If they were gonna spend that kind of cash they surely could have been more competative in the central div?
