I heard somewhere along the grape vine that Gepps Cross will be fielding a C and D grade so the likelyhood of a div 8 is more likely then before with a few of the bigger higher grade clubs having C and D grades for next year.
Having had a drink with the Mawson Lakes lads last year at Coops birthday I can only imagine how big a session some of the lads would have had at the cricket. May have to catch up with some of them for another refreshment or two at some stage throughout the year.
Phantom, did you guys train tonight. I went past at about 6.15 and only noticed the cricketers out there?

Ben is a very talented footballer, Best and Fairest winner many times over and a great bloke. Really hope he makes it even if it is to our detriment.

He really should have been picked up by Glenelg as a junior IMO but was told that he was too short and slow. He definitely isn't the quickest or the tallest and that will be the only query on him making it at PHOS but he can get the ball and dispose of it perfectly 9 times out of 10. He reminds me of an old school mate of mine and ex-PHOS captain I believe - Adam Beachamp. Ben probably has more penetration on his kick than I remember Adam having and is more outside than inside but they are very similar players.bandar wrote:Remember watching Ben play as a kid in our juniors and always thought he had a bit. Also Remember a few years ago asking his Dad if he thought he'd have a crack one day and he said he probably would, I guess that's now. He's more than welcome.

Glenunga starts pre-season this Tuesday. All new players are welcome as long as you don't take my spot

Excellent appointment is Willo. Coached our B Grade to a flag a few years back, is an excellent motivator and loves his players. As long as the North Pines boys are willing to do the work, he'll be excellent for that club.Bigshow82 wrote:Bigshow82 wrote:Not sure how true this is but I was told yesterday that Nth Pines have appointed Eastern Parks B or C grade coach from last season (not sure of his name) and will be nominating 2 sides for 2011. It has been confirmed that Craig Wilson (2010 Eastern Park B Grade coach) has been appointed A grade coach of Nth Pines with Steve Newchurch appointed B grade coach. The club is confident they will fill 2 sides this season and return to Div 7. As I said earlier all the best to the 2 blokes and the club.
