Noticed on mycricket mclarens batted all day for 152. Is the pongy oval very slow or was the bowling something special?

Hey red Baron

It was probably a bit of both i would say. The oval was ridiculously SLOW, probably the slowest i have played on in a very long time which is a pity because it is a beautiful outfield to field on. Very flat with no bumps or divots but just super slow.

On the other hand the Pongy bowlers i must take my hat off too, majority of them bowled very disciplinary and didnt give much away. I know i batted for a long time and really struggled to find much to hit. Thomo bowled very well as did that young Patto kid and bloody Shaun Hutchy bowled superbly with very little luck.

By the sounds of it Bloods what was bowled was a dead ball as it hit the middle of the pitch. So bowl a legitimate delivery and you wouldn't have a problem. Don't blame the umpire for your mistakes. This is at least the second time you've bagged this umpire on this site and you wonder why you don't get any favors. I think you'll find the ball did change, definitely slowed up after it pitched.

my intial tought was it hit the matting ive only come to saying it hit the middle because dizzy said it definatly did....what im getting at buddy is that 4 other balls which did hit the middle and deviated stayed low even, werent called and his exact word were " ill call it a dead ball if it deviates" and mine didnt he was beaten fair and square! i agree if it had of stayed low or changed path in flight but it didnt so couldnt careless what you say it was a rough descision! which im over now just a pitty this stuff happens when hes out there !

Ill tell ya someone who has changed there batting approach "Mark "Moose" Curtis

Was definately playing for "RED INK" On saturday much to the "Displeasure" of team mates, Certainly turning into one selfish batting individual.

Could see himself batting at 10 in the 20/20 this week

Well bloods you will have trouble bowling them out when you don't bowl legitimate deliveries! and now that the great RockyB is back he might just push you out of the A's with his fast non spinners. So you might need to go back to playing for Goolwa. Have a run in the B's so you can bowl your half tracker deliveries and be the gun you say you are.

if there was a like button id like it good work there once upon a time! i dont say im a gun im just a cricketer whos skills are one in a million hahahah but i dont particularly like the idea of playing b grade,...its harder getting wickets in bs, but u still keeping forgetting where im coming from my delivery hit either the matting or smack on the concrete he hit it was caught and was out! but the 4 other deliveries that did hit the middle one going for four and the other 3 were not called is bias on me, so go back to the drawing boards and find something else to say than "bowl legitimate deliveries" had nothing to do with the ball i bowled but the poor umpiring shown on saturday case closed! theres more than my team mates saying it was a tad unfair! and rockyb wont be taking my spot sunshine ;) thanks any way bud

Not sure what Bloods needs to work more on, hitting the matting or his grammar!

should have known it would soon all be about bloods again.
if you can umpire better give up the hop skip and jump, let rocky take your spot. haha. and go umpire because i'm sure you'll be a perfect umpire never too make an error.
get over yourself and give the guy a break, i'd rater of had a bad independant umpire than a cheating oposition umpire. :-({|= :-({|=

with ya tony. have a sat sun early and everyone off too the test.

yeah im with you mate, having paid umpires in this league is one of the best things to happen. Have played against some real cheats as opposition umpires in the past, where the only wicket you could get was bowled! Bloods , umpires are only human and make the odd mistake, but showing dissent to one wont help you. Players play the game. umpires umpire the game.

the only bit of dissent ive said about him is on here! i have no problem with any other umpire in this association , i agree they make mistakes but to contradict himself in front of everyone proves his guilt! my opinion and i couldnt give 2 flying F*cks whatuve got to say about me :)
