Good to see our batsman took it up to Anderson today, at this stage 15 overs for 70, maybe a change of thinking of plans to the way they were playing him

and he is our next captain apparently, cant handle pressure. needed to be there tomorrow and keep doing the hard yards. North has to step up now otherwise if he doesnt get him out of the team.

Have called and called and called for it, Ponting do something different, give the ball to someone that doesnt really bowl, does he do it No, Strauss does it, gives KP the ball with a bowling average of 143.6 and presto, aint rocket science to see what skipper is on top of his game

Locky, is that a desire (which I agree with), or an honest belief?

If North doesn't do something in this dig, I don't know how they can justify persisting with him...

******* clarke!!! Seriously North isnt going to be able to bat all day!
If we were any hope of saving the match he had to be out there to at least lunchtime tomorrow. !!!!!!

Well what now, if it doesnt rain we will be one down in this series. I dont believe anyone bar Haddin will be able to stick with Hussey for long.

He will by default. Ponting will be sacked if we lose this series and his form doesnt improve.
Haddin would be a great captain but the aussies rarely let a keeper be skipper

I'm not too keen on buying into the Clarke captain debate, although I think it was selfish for him to play the First Test when clearly not fit, and he's not even in good knick (despite an alright knock today).

North won't do much again, so Huss and Haddin may as well pad their averages a bit, and try and keep their good form going.

I think they will give Clarke the captaincy when it becomes open, IMO the ACB are just as much about how they look and listening to media crap as they are retarded in half their selections and decisions. Also i think at the end of the day its just as much a business and as sport ala AFL, and the ACB are about filling seats and making $$

i.e

Hauritz dropped for Doherty because its all anyone kept suggesting, its what the fans wanted. Doherty surely wasn't / isnt the best spinner currently?
Dave Warner has all this hype and they continue with him but why? What really has he done?

They have groomed up Clarke for the job for years now, they have openly said he is the future leader of the side, they wouldnt wanna look stupid by naming someone else.

Dear Michael Clarke bashers,
Get a life and stop hating one of the few test cricket talents this country has. For a long time i have copped heat for being a Pup fan but he is a good player in an average team.
STOP BLAMING HIM.

if Clarke is to be the next aust captain, which he will be, how about he actually stands and **** delivers when the country needs it.....

if he is injured then he shouldnt be out there.

clarke made some runs, aust didnt need runs, just needed to soak up time

North is on his last legs, Clarke really couldnt be that far behind him
Matty Wade is a star and deserves more respect from the forum family!

Was at the cricket on Day 3 and interestingly me and a mate notcied the amount of times Clarke would suggest by hand signals to Ponting to move a fielder, ninety per cent of the time Ponting would shake his head to say nope. On more than a few occasions Clarke would then vigoursly start shaking his head and turn his back.

At one stage Clarke moved Bollinger who was on the boundary 10 meters to his right, only for Ponting to notice and move him straight back to where he was. Bollinger stood there with his arms wide spread was very confused. At the end of the over Ponting went to Clarke, there was lots of hand gestures and shakes of the head.

Dont think all is well between the two.
