Im not a fan of Peter Roebuck, but his theory on Watto is that he doesn't lose concentration but more likely suffers from fatigue.

I haven't seen any cricket this summer, but any merit to what he believes?

I do believe watto gets tired physically and mentally. You cant bowl 15-20 overs in 38 degree heat, field for 2 days and be expected to open the bat. He has to be told to stop bowling and concentrate on being an opener or bat at 6

He is doing so much more because he has been told to step away form his gym / weights work. The fitness staff felt his huge physique was causing a lack of flexibility and that was causing his back / hamstring issues. For mine it is mental application for nobody would be fitter than him.

Can't agree with you, he doesn't over-exert himself when he's bowling nowadays, it gets more tiresome standing in the slips doing bugger-all, at least with bowling he's in the game from time to time.
He has a far fitter looking physique than Jacques Kallis and it doesn't seem to affect him.

As long as you can bend your elbow then that's all the flexibility you need.

Have to laugh, umps call for the covers and Strauss and co out there disagreeing, FFS it was about to pour down, umps should have given them their wish and played on, pitch gets soaked unfit for play, match drawn, perhaps if they hadn't have batted on this morning they wouldnt have been worried.

Say this has set in for a few hours by the look of it
