I'm fairly confident that 95-100% of Port supporters would see him as a hero.

He was no doubt a bit over exuberant in some ways, but compare his off field record to a lot of people who are considered to be heroes - Carey, Ablett Snr, Lockett etc. You won't see many blemishes alongside Tredrea's name.

If you're going to hold media presentation as a black mark alongside someone's name, you'd have a cross against just about every ex player's name who went into the media :)
