Glenelg had a Josh Starke from Sth East a few years back in U19s.
He worked in the junior development dept as part of a SANFL traineeship programme.
He went back home due to frustration with injuries I think.
Anyone know if this is the same lad?

Has one of the best mullets you're likely to see.

He is an extremely tough in and under midfielder. Lacks a fair bit of skill, but is a real good kid so good luck to him.

Not sure what your point is AM? There are a number of other players training with the club not named that have to get through a pre-season as a test period before they are offererd a contract so to speak.

I would expect that Andrew Lee, Michael Handby, Brett Backwell, Todd Miles, Henry Mason, Will Paley and Brian Fenton at least will easily be there come start of the season?

As for the "recycled ex North players"? Will they be happy having to battle well and truly from the Ressies?

They stopped attacking after half time. Either on specific instruction from Godden or he was unable to get a message through to his players to go forwards with the ball. Whichever, he's still culpable for the loss.

When Fuller was in charge of the Eagles I always used to fear games against them but not any more.

Funny Trevor Hill beat Ron Fuller by 10 goals his last year at the parade then got sacked !! Walker had a lot to do with it do u remember him playing for your side. Eagles under fuller could not stop Walker.
Were u fearing the eagles that day !!!

Eagles did stop attacking they had no fit tall forwards .Grocke had ripped open the webbing on his hand he had it wrapped up twice the size and it kept bleeding
No Grocke means no leading forward at the eagles in 2010!!

And sitting in the outer at footy park the first half all we heard from the legs fans were complaints about their team .Mind u many had only started going in 2010 from what they were saying.

I think u may well fear the Eagle in 2011 a side with Chris Hall, Aaron Kite just to name two recruits ( hall returning). Is a different Eagles than 2010 and Parry fit and doing the full pre season.

Forget living in the past bring on 2011 i say.

One more thing!

Norwood beat the Eagles at Woodville by 10-12 goals on the June long weekend 2009, I remember, someone rang to inform me as I was in Melbourne. I apologise, perhaps I have no life for remembering that Saturday afternoon.

Funny thing is, the reason I was in Melbourne that weekend, was to see Adelaide play Essendon at Docklands, entertaining shootout, reckon Adelaide kicked over 20 goals and not many behinds, mmmm Taylor Walker definitely played in that side, so um, don't think he was at Woodville the previous day, perhaps the Ghost of Taylors past kicked a bag that day!

Think it was June 2008 Walker carved us up at Woddville, and then ion 2009 long weekend they thumped us again at Woddville,, a game Fuller described as the worst apart from the 04 GF under his coaching.

Well perhaps you should ask your last coach Trevor Hill.which mob are more twisted Eagles fans or Norwood Fans.
Why was it that Norwood fans were threatening to lynch him one night game at the parade because they lost to the Eagles!!!

Well excuse me for having a poor memory .Hell the fact that I am talking about an Eagles loss is bad enough.Geez u won by 10 goals .But then you sound like you prefer watching the crows over the SANFL typical
Your not one of those norwood board members that got in trouble for going to a crows game instead of following the legs!!!

You said earlier, forget the past and look forward.

I know who our previous coach was. A new sentence starts with a capital and if that sentence is a question it has one of these '?' on the end. Finally I can't answer what looks like a question of yours regarding lynching the coach as I wasn't in the vicinity of your said threats and it in all likelihood wasn't noticed by quite a number of people at the ground being a Friday night game, like most of our home games, there would've been a sizable attendance, opposed to your home games, where crowd numbers hide nothing!

I am not a board member, nor do I prefer to watch an AFL game in preference to Norwood. I hold an all grounds SANFL pass for the minor round, I am neither a member of an AFL club or a season ticket holder.

The odd weekend I enjoy going and watching an Adelaide game at the G or Etihad. Some cynics would suggest watching the Crows and the local Eagles is one and the same.

Punctuation Mickyj

Bass said throughout the year, considering how much SANFL players are remunerated, a lot of them are the most committed footballers in the land. It's understandable if other priorities take over an individuals football career and they give the game away at this level.

Pretty obvious statement I know, but if Lawry doesn't pull the boots on for the Dogs in 2011, would be a huge blow, on top of their retirements as well...
