I contrast that with the Magpies electing to go on life support from the Power, I know which set of administrators are deserving of more credit.

You're absolutely right Ronnie. And the Magpie Administration heartily thank you for your endorsement.

They only took over the name from it's previous owner and started existing 14 years ago.

Back on track, I love Unleys new name, maybe it's because I'm a Sci Fi geek!

I'm going to push for Prospect to be renamed Jupiter 1, the Enterprise or Battlestar! 8)

The kids hate Unley but I might be able to talk them into going now. Kids, want to come to the Command Centre?

Now I have got my head around the new name of the fixture oval ( which I will always call Unley ) - If a company wishes to sponsor our club in that direction they can call it want they want.

Go you Blues !!!
It is what it is !!!

Your kids HATE the most kid-friendly oval in the SANFL? I'm sure having a run around the concrete at Westies is much more fun

Yes it is. They've always quite enjoyed Richmond and the fact that they can walk right around Richmond without having to be crowded with drunken yobbos as well as plenty of room to play/walk.
Unleys about as kid friendly as the middle o West Terrace in peak hour.

I've been thinking further about his subject and was wondering if Alberton could change it's name to Disneyland and Elizabeth could change it's name to Queensland. Be the only way I'd get the kids interested in going to both venues!

Jeez, when I was a kid at the football, I watched the football. I would have told them to shove their bouncy castle, there's a game on.

With the standard of play in recent years I've been the one looking for the bouncy castle!

my kids think Unley's a great place to watch footy.

The problem for me, as someone who only goes to occasional matches, is that I know where Unley Oval is, and Norwood Oval, and Thebarton.
But when they say So & So Stadium and I have no idea where that is I may decide to do something else instead, rather than do the research needed to obey my impulse of the day to go to the football.
I wonder whether that impacts on other casual attenders and attendance figures?
