Does anyone have any news about whether Tiller is playing out at the eagles?

There was a rumour going around a while back but there have not been any announcements by the Eagles.

My mail certainly says he's signed mate, maybe the club is waiting until all drafts are complete before officially announcing?

Interesting to read about this basketball convert Jacob Templeton training with Crows, similar to the Ricky Henderson situation, plucking an 'athlete' from basketball.

Jacob trained with Central during the last finals series and played SAAFL with Golden Grove the season just gone, and of course Golden Grove is in Norwood's recruiting zone.

If the Crows take a punt like they did with Henderson and rookie list him, it will be interesting to see if Templeton goes into the group of players allocated SANFL clubs in the mini draft or whether he becomes aligned to Norwood because of the zoning situation or plays at Central, where it was mentioned on the 'Golden Grove Football Club thread' that Jacob has been impressing on the track for the Dogs.

Interesting...

You have no idea whatsoever "ferret".
I know the bloke well & i believe he has very good communication skills.
When players don't get there own way & they think they are better than what they really are its easy to point the finger at the coach, "the blame game", anyone & everyones to blame except the player himself.
If a players good enough he'll make himself be picked, if he's serious.

If he's in Norwood's zone, surely he'd have to gain a clearance from us to play with Central.

However, if he's already training with Central, perhaps that isn't the case or has already been cleared.

Either way, if he's from SA, and rookie listed, shouldn't be included in the rubbish mini draft, I'm hoping we pick Richard Tambling with our pick, that's if we get one, so we don't have any players going back and forth!

Think zoning only relates to area of residence mate, so possibly he plays for the Grove but doesn't live in Norwood's zone?

Ron is a very eloquent speaker to friends and supporters but when he has the capacity to decide a players future his communication leaves a lot to be desired. In life, it is generally very difficult to tell people something they don't want to hear..............Ron is no different.

Not sure Dylan Williams, Sam Elliott, Dylan Joyce, etc would agree.

He has swiftly dealt with a large number of South players that were at the club for the wrong reasons.

I'm just glad he is finally at a club where he is appreciated and respected. I reckon for what he has done in the game he deserves that. The carry on from some eagles supporters on this matter is an embarassent for their wider Club, most of whom I'm sure don't subscribe to the continued attacks.

What ferret has basically said is spot on , and most of us inside the club for Rons 9 years know it .... the people outside know next to jack shite ! Personally I hope to be lucky enough to have this similar debate in another 8 years about our current coach ;) now who are we going to pinch next ?

Bunton - did Ron actually front the players you mentioned and tell them face to face or was it done by a third party while he was touring the USA while pre-season training was in progress.

What part of premiership coach do you not understand?

Godden's second half tactics lost the Preliminary Final for the Eagles but I've yet to see the knives out for him.

Personally he didn't have the cattle left on the field to do much Topsywaldron.
Eagles came from the elmination final beat the unbeatable Sturt ;) and kept attacking when down to 17 men against Glenelg.
Surely injuries during the game against norwood had some impact.

And my mail is "gods" is reminding the players of that loss to norwood!!

I'd be more interested in Norwoods backline in 2011 you have lost a few from there in the draft
