Great effort from Luke "the machine" Drewett picking up another 7 fa. In fact well done to the C D and E all recording wins. Cant imagine seeing that too often in a club when your As get smacked outright and all other sides win.

Thought that may have given you half a chubby.

Yes LM, only a small one, I am only a little fella after all

At Dwight reserve EPFC had our first loss for the year,

Central Uniteds opening bowlers did extremley well and used the favoritable conditions brilliantly.

Was a good effort in the end by us though, we were 5 for 35 to get to 120 shows we do having batting depth.

Game was played in really good spirit and i think both teams will be around the mark come the business end of the season.

Hopefully we learn from our errors including 2 runouts inside the first three wickets, incuding myself being at fault in one  , this game was also a classic example of catches win matches.

On that note, pretty hard to pick a 3,2,1 when you get done outright

Who got the 3,2,1? Who would you give our 3 to? Brooksy hundred which set us up, or jims 11 wickets?

I'd go Brooksey for the 3 in my opinon - Runs had to get put on the board

LIAR!! I think you must be on a pakistani bookies pay roll too, couldve sworn when there was a half shout in the 2nd dig against one of your players you said something along the lines of "ah just give him out"

To answer your question, R&C do votes as well. Stats can be misleading IMO and sometimes don't show the true value of someones game i.e Salters 2nd innings knock which nearly saved the game.

Used to be different going back 20 years ago, but we've had B graders win "Cricketer Of The Year" back then  .
The winner has been pretty reflective of who the best cricketer in the club at the time has been. If you have enough all-round ability to take wickets and score runs then so be it. Generally speaking at this level of cricket a team comprises of 8 or 9 players that can bat and bowl, it's onfield performances that determines your usage in each discipline.

not really, i felt comfortable that it was going down leg, as it hit me on the heels and i hadn't really stepped across.

I have to admit though alot of blokes were wrapped up right in front, credit to the quality of bowling that is.

I personly think you shuffled across a little and was deadset plum, i also think the only thing that saved you was it was the first ball of the day and alf was thinking about race 3 number 4... But having said that you take it when you can..

Ah surely you would give jimmy the 3 votes for his 11 wickets not to mention the marathon spells he bowled! Wouldnt have won outright otherwise!

Then yeah id prob give Brooksy the 2 votes for the hungee then from left field id give stama 1 vote, vital stages in the 2nd innings had an impact.

I think first inn efforts take over from 2nd inn, brooksy, jim, duane. Imo...

hmm depends how you want to look at it i guess. Obviously Jim and Brookesy set up the win with bat and ball in the 1st but to win outright esp against such a quality opposition and in grade 1 is a fair effort and doesnt happen too often and deserves some recognition.

R&C wouldnt be sitting top if not for the outright, 20 wickets in a day big ask regardless, i think your being modest big fella.

Mortons innings whilst good and much needed i dont think weighed into the end result or as did Jimmys bowling or brookes 100...

... IMO :P

It doesn’t matter who got the votes. We smashed BL and that’s all that counts. I know that ever player we have would rather win a premiership then win an individual medal. But Also think Rus deserved a vote. 4 fa 49 off 16 over’s. Great spell of bowling as well.
