On the money I believe mate ... Massive blow for the Legs.

However, great news for Nick .. He's a champion lad

Was mentioned on Channel 10 Sports Report tonight that GWS will be offering Lower a 2 year contract and made mention of the fact he (Lower) will be reunited with his former AFL coach as Mark Williams is expected to be be announced Assistant Coach of GWS very soon...

This was also mentioned in the same News report on Lower but it also mentioned Joffa Giles was training with Essendon...

Jamie Vlatko returning to The Parade to play for the Redlegs, will add to the official list as I have official documentation stating his confirmed return...

Norwood seem to have been hit as hard as anyone in recent years.

Will be a big test for them and still the so called rookie draft to go.

Good chance Tom Jonas will be rookied by the Power...

Although, according to Andrew Capel in today's Advertiser Tom Jonas (and Nathan Daniel - just left the Eagles to sign with South) are from the Port Magpies?

Think Norwood may be about to experience what West Adelaide did in 2003. How many from that list did you guys lose? Unfortunately still 'rebuilding' too.. I feel for you guys as am worried we are about to experience the same. :(

Rest your mind at ease Leggies, we will not experience a huge slide, more recruits to come and there will be more fresh faces Bass will be promoting in 2011 to give them invaluable experience, remember what our thoughts were about the squad leading into 2010, we'll be fine.

Plus they are almost certain to lose N.Lower (possibly the best player in the SANFL) and maybe another one or two to go on lists.

The key to Norwoods success there running from half back and the two instigators of that have gone.

Now for the recruits,

Vlatko- Average footballer is good when on song but could play a copperfield tribute act.

Eagleton- returning over 30 ex AFL players have terrible histories of returing to the SANFL, name some that have turned out to be a success only one i can think of is Matty Bode but he was returning to his child hood club

Bode- Where do we start, arrogant (on and off the field, some of the stories of how he treated sturt supporters was terrible) on the field he is a front runner who is all mouth when in front but when behind is seen to big digging wholes to hide himself for the abuse that will be returned.

Personally i think Norwood will slip to an elimantion final.

Was Luke Mccabe or Jason Torney over 30? Both also returning to their home clubs.
Heard similiar things about Bode, maybe Bassett can address any "character" faults.

**edited I think Luke was 29 on his return, when he won the Jack Oatey. He was 32 when he made his second comeback in 2008.
Also, Torney was 31 when he played a full season in 2008 for South.
Personally, I think Eagleton will be a very good player in the SANFL (subject to the normal injury disclaimer).

Once again though McCabe and Torney returned back to there home clubs, and in Torneys case was still on an AFL list when he first started back at South.

Thankyou ever so much for your rundown on my club.

I take solace you're prepared to go to great lengths and time consumption to point out where you think and hope we'll be next year.

I don't share the same interest or care factor regarding your club in return, unfortunately ;)

Perhaps I should have a rethink about my membership renewal 8)

I believe our recruiting thus far has themed around addressing our needs, a goal scoring onballer, a key forward and someone who can play on the half back line, more recruits to arrive, and provided we secure a ruckman and the further promotion of our younger players will stand us in good stead next year.

Nobody rated our list, including ourselves at the start of 2010, and we were wrong / pleasantly surprised by our improvement, competitiveness and development over the season.

This will continue in 2011.

Did you include Norwoods downfall in your wish list to Santa? Keep wishing!

I dont need to wish for other teams downfalls as my team is easily the best side in its own right as your mob learnt 3 times last year and have witnessed over the last deacade.

You take 4 of any clubs best players and they are going to struggle to replace them, history shows theres every chance Eagleton wont be as good as his reputation suggest he might. Also Norwoods reserves were only average at best last year as well.

Anyway im off to recover celebrating 11 GF's in a row has really taken its toll, see you next GF day if you lot can manage to get there again.

Unfortunately, I'd rate him doubtful at the minute. Not due to lack of effort and training, but he is on the training track at least.

No worries but they were the next generation. (Cooney played regular league as did Rutten) and a couple of tragic deaths.
This is footy in todays times. Centrals are the measuring stick when it comes to covering loses and recruiting for premierships. However good our juniors are we have much to learn from the onfield and off field management of the dogs so that the likes of the Eageltons and Tillers want to come back when there afl careers are finished. ( I hope we are heading in the right direction now with this management). At the end of the day no use whinging about it because it is done. Successful clubs are looking forwards not at what could have been while looking backwards. Sorry went off topic play on
