Looking for "greater opportunity". Some may say he has received more opportunity than he should've at the Eagles - mainly under Fuller. Hopefully he does well on a personal level, but can't help but feel the only "greater opportunity" he'll get is a greater opportunity to win a wooden spoon.

Interesting that both the Power and Crows (and clearly Ron Fuller) have seen somthing in Daniel that Godden has not. We'll take a 20y/o that has already played 30 league games including League finals as recently as this year any day. Time will be the judge on how successful this is for both daniel and South; but feel free to keep bagging the young bloke - even more ammo to prove some people wrong.

He was a few weeks ago, with new South team-mate Nick Liddle...

Despite not being drafted by the Power, I would suggest he (and Liddle and Norwood's Tom Jonas) would probably still be training with Port in the lead up to the Rookie draft.

Central might be on the hunt for another ruckman if the punt pays off for Pumpa...

I think he trained twice in the lead up to the draft. Not anymore - has been at South Adelaide training for the last couple of weeks so not sure why it was only announced today.

Forgive my ignorance - where have the Crows showed interest in him?

I think it's only been the last few years the AFL have allowed 'mature age' rookies on lists, but I get what you are saying...

Maybe so. But at least the club keeps going when its tough. Just remember when you found it tough, you folded like a pack of cards. Don't ever think you have the high ground on South my old Manila.

Banter between South and Eagles barrackers

It's like a NAB Cup, trial match or a League Cup game in England, does anyone care?

Should Jack Viney be counted as an OUT for North because he would have played league this year.

Yeah, I'll add him to the list, he played a couple of reserves games this year (2010) and was BOG in one of them. I think he was going to be considered for his league debut late in the season with North but it didn't eventuate...

And now with the help of South Adelaide we are rebuilding our coffers. By selling oops by allowing a good seconds player the chance to try to get a regular league spot .At South Adelaide under ron .
And no I have no idea how much you paid for him but from all accounts it was more than he was worth !! ;)

And don't bring that merged club crap back up DOC .Otherwise we Eagles fans will tell u we just back two teams that should have stayed as one before woodville came in!!

I never used the word merged. I said folded, gave up when it got too tough.

All the best to Nathan, unfortunately just never been able to cement his spot in the league side but has been a very consistent performer in the reserves and always kept his name up there. Can't blame him for wanting to have crack elsewhere and a change of scenery might be good for him, just as long as he has a quiet day when he plays agaisnt us! ;)
Trust the process.

And lets put W. Carey in the same list of "those who got away without playing a league game"!

BP you do a great job but if your going to include Viney then list every "out" who played ressies from every club and never played a league game!
Piss weak SANFL and the CLOWNS who run it.

Just heard at work Michael Bratton from Sturt has also pulled the pin on football.

Apparently something to do with constant back and hamstring problems.

Wont be playing anywhere in 2011.
