Trevor bailey ( eliz districts won australias fastest bowler comp, scary facing him at 15, no lid)
Matchet (adelaide turf seriously quick, no lid)
D reeves ( sa opening bowler on a green top at ttg 1st ball in A grade district of the glove in front of my face over slips for 4, didnt see it at all lucky to be alive, no lid)

faced many quick bowlers in pdca but no one who really calls for a change of undies ;) also most quicks from hard wicket loose half a yard and bouce once they venture onto the turf, these guys would be deadly on hard wicket.... imagine shaun tait on hard wicket :-ss

But best bowler faced Dizzy Gillespie 1st, P McIntyre 2nd, Matchet/Wigney 3rd.

bloody bugger that!! I'll stick with a level of cricket where i can see the ball and try and hit the ball! :?

Very hard to top that.. Would that explain why the pull shot has been put away? Confidence was shot as a young fella?

I faced a fella by the name of chris mack in perth, was very quick and at 16 wasnt great, he hit a bloke in the box and split the box which then pinched his ball bag, with blood pissing evetywhere i had to walk past him to bat as 2 blokes carried him off, ended up having 10 stiches in the sack and chris ended up opening the bowling for wa, before injury got the better of him..

Also around the same time a few of us used to bounce a young fella who always struggled and batted in the bottom 3, alec stewart ended up taking this young fella under his wing and did alot of one on one work with him after training, his name was simon katich.. Not a bad puller now...

Tough day at the office for BL...

Rosies all out for 289, Brookes 106, Morton 61, Stama 30 odd.. Browny continuing pushing his claims as the star all rounder of the comp and McKenzie favorite with a 5 wicket haul.

Dangerous signs for other sides if R&C are starting to click with the batting considering its been their weakness over recent times,

Very long day in the field, however we will take the credit for sticking it out and rolling another side! Brownie with his first 5 wicket haul in Grade One, he will tell you they were "Cheap" wickets, but it was a fair result to a man bending his back all day! Got his just deserts!

Special mention to Stephen Sewell.... 2 massive 6's that cleared the OTH square boundary by 4 inches. That sort of stuff doesn't happen too often.....

probably cos i still dont wear a lid and cant read the second to bottom line on the eye chart at a medical. should be wearing glasses i guess really but glasses n no lid, probably a bad idea ;) plus after 2 top edges into the eye and a series of stitches i decided to put the pull shot away 8-}

Massive score by Craigmore's U16's team yesterday against Angle Vale 9/459 off 49 overs on a slow, top dressed ground.

With that... a slight deflection to the next topic!

Central United batted there 70 overs out to be 9 for 218

A last wicket stand of 93 didnt help our cause but we got what we deserved when you drop as many catches as we did.

218 is very gettable on the small EP oval but we will have to bat extremley well to chase down this total.

Once again Rory Andrews bowled brilliantly to take 2 for 15 of around 16 overs and Daniel Jeffries 4 for 21, both these lads will be out training with the Under 21 squad today.

When is this training on, I dont see anything on PDCA website. We have a couple of young lads that should be given the opportunity to play.
