Eagleton: Why I chose the Legs - By Reece Homfray

Be interesting to see if the reasons/comments end up with similiar results to Nathan Brown or Nathan Buckley. A common theme amongst the Nathans.

Spot on Jim, clubs recruit the best available player to suit there needs...

Lower is a better in and under hard at it midfielder than Duigan but Lower isn't a tall running defender and that's what Carlton identified as a need...

So does that put the eags in cap danger? Tiller was asking more money than eagleton plus the transfer fee to westies adds up to a bit of coin.
Westies will be rolling in dough with all these ex players lining up elsewhere

They may get some coin but you can only have that x amount of players from interstate over 3 years. The players they are losing wouldn't count on that new formulae. The other thing is that an ex south aussie is more likely to stay than an interstate recruit who doesn't necessarily have family. But JIM05 - we should have a lot of salary cap room IF we can land the recruits we really need. (KEY Forward / Ruck / Quick in and under midfielder)

Wouldn't think the Eagles would be in salary cap danger. With Welsh gone Cheep(he wasn't a cheap buy i think) gone a lot of salary cap would have been cleared.

Should be CP .Of course depending on how many we lose in the rookie draft. And if any more players recruited this year.
Would like to see the eagles recruit a CHB and another midfielder.

If Tiller has signed with the Eagles then I am sure that will be our recruiting complete.
I believe he can play CHB, then again Thompson can handle this role next year.
I would have liked another midfielder but the club is confident they have enough coming through the ranks in this department.

The rookie draft is the worry. We can handle the kids getting taken, but if Grocke or Jarrad go that will leave a big hole; Norwood having already suffered in the regular draft.

Does anyone know what the story is with Michael Coad? Is he planning on returning to Adelaide if he not put on Gold Coast's list? He'd be a coup for Sturt if he returns
