It certainly made the walk up the hill a little more enjoyable, I wasn't even going to bowl, our regular opening bowler didn't show up thanks to the BDO so I decided to take it, I hadn't bowled much that season.

They have been getting out in force as well this year on average having 20-25 blokes under there, they are expecting a big turnout this week as well with the nice weather and the webber being cooked all day long.

Should be fun.

We always sit right next to them which makes for an interesting day.

Had a few lucky days. Too much cricket too young killed my body though, bowling 40 overs a day from 13 to 16 years old, then 40+ til I was about 18, then back to 20+ on hard wicket, ankles are probably the worst affected, varicous veins by the time I was in my mid 20's and hobbling around til thursday each week.

Watch out for: Bascombe with the bat and Leo with the ball.
Smithfield vs Parafield Gardens

not bad Predictions there groover.

think your almost on the money with the R&C v BL being closely fought, but im not sure you will see 200+ scored with the quality of bowling + generally a slower field.

Also Interesting your picking Virginia to score so heavily against AV who have shown their strength is their bowling.

I anticipate OTH to be more competitive this round as well - especially with so much talk about Rogers jumping ship.

I think otherwise your around the mark..

Going back a couple of pages...... quickest bowler ever faced.

Trevor bailey ( eliz districts won australias fastest bowler comp, scary facing him at 15, no lid)
Matchet (adelaide turf seriously quick, no lid)
D reeves ( sa opening bowler on a green top at ttg 1st ball in A grade district of the glove in front of my face over slips for 4, didnt see it at all lucky to be alive, no lid)

faced many quick bowlers in pdca but no one who really calls for a change of undies ;) also most quicks from hard wicket loose half a yard and bouce once they venture onto the turf, these guys would be deadly on hard wicket.... imagine shaun tait on hard wicket :-ss

But best bowler faced Dizzy Gillespie 1st, P McIntyre 2nd, Matchet/Wigney 3rd.
