Also did anyone face willy on his day? I remember one day at the wells against rosies, it was second inn we had about 15 overs to bowl and there was about 100 people watching that were having a function on the hill, willy loved that **** and sent some rockets down.. I asked the crowd to follow us around for the year but they were terified of being hit by a stump

Was that from his bowling or him throwing the stumps. ;) very funny day that one.

And yes Willy was very sharp

I heard about the javelin at Dwight.

Came close late in the day while it was getting dark in the second innings at Parafield Gardens.

You politely asked "did you see that one?".

:D :D

Lets put it this way if he decides to quit cricket he could certainly give the Olympics a shake

He threw the stump from the center pitch and it went for six towards the pepper tree.

I was batting with Matty Beazleigh that day. Good times. Pretty decent arm on him. I'm sure he was only doing what everyone else wanted to do when they played at EP :D

The boys on the hill probably do more damage to EP than good, I know they inspired me to produce my best ever bowling figures.

Yeah the guys under the pepper tree can have an effect on games at Dwight reserve both good and bad, i have seen opposition bowlers use it to spur them on and bowl brilliantly, i have also seen bowlers lose their shite as well.

They have been getting out in force as well this year on average having 20-25 blokes under there, they are expecting a big turnout this week as well with the nice weather and the webber being cooked all day long.

Should be fun.
