Must be extenuating circumstances for that one as when you've just won a grand final by 25 plus goals, you've just recruited even more players for the next tilt, I can't understand why someone who want's to play a higher level of football would be held back.

Hey, I may be just a Hills Country contributor 'n all but there's gotta be something better to discuss than who's in who.................

Couldn't agree more. I read this forum occasionally for Hills news, but the last 10 pages or so are 10 minutes of my life I'll never get back again. A hell of a lot of utter garbage on there that belongs in the same bin. If you can't write something vaguely sensible, don't post. Some of you may find that sort of in-joke funny, but there ain't much funny about it, and it doesn't add to your reputations.

I've got a word that sums up both of you......ballbags!

Seriously, it's Feb. There's bugger all to talk about on the footy scene other than 'I saw some player from some other club at the pub and he said his club has recruited an AFL side'.

And you two have just added more space to this thread without contributing anything about footy at all. If you're going to have a crack at aus about getting off topic, but not put anything repotely footy related up, then why waste your own, and infinately more importantly, our time in putting this crap up.

Sure the last 10 pages have some garbage in them, but take it on it's merits. We've got bugger all else to discuss, so if you want the quality of discussion to increase, then put some new info up that's worth discussing.

Otherwise, sit back and enjoy the stupidity. I'm sure you could both think of a funny joke to hang on Bridgewater. Got anything Ron?

What's the go here fellas, didn't Michael Danielle play for Birdwood last year? Had kangarilla signed him and he now wants back in at Birdwood? Or do i have this completely wrong? I have seen the man play though and if he was to be the best midfielder Birdwood has to offer this year they are in some serious trouble! I am by no means saying he's an ordinary player, he's just not in the same league as many of the Div 1 midfielders these days.

Can someone give me a reason as to why Birdwood are coming up to the Central Div this year, i don't understand why they would want to be pummeled week in week out which i can guarantee you will happen. People are complaining about there not being any bye's in the coming year....playing birdwood will be as good as bye + percentage

Whatever 2pac. Anyone with experience at an SANFL club, be it at Reserves or League level, would be an asset to ANY Hills football club. The amount an individual can learn from being invloved in that sort of environment is unbelievable... I have heard a few names that might be heading to Blackwood from Sturt... they will be 'handy' players in the Hills.

Yep, you've got it completely wrong!! Danielle played for Birdwood in 2005 and won the Mail Medal and last year he played for Kangarilla. I've heard he's going to be playing for Angaston in 2007.

Sammy B won't leave the devs unless he continues down in town surely...the man is a living legend!

Fair call about Danielle, i new he played at Birdwood at some stage, i've been out of the loop for 12 months.

Fill us in Inside 50...just like you filled in DA of my identity!!! And please tell me you've been telling these Sturt players what a terrible club Blackwood is.

think broadbridge would go to seaton as thats where they want all players from port adelaide to play if there not playing in the reserve side. reckon thats a fair call coz i believe keep ur feet is a very close friend of broadbridge!
also shanty have recruited a handfull of players but will still need plenty of locals out to keep the numbers and depth at the club. also have heard that ironbank have not recruited to many. only one player from tailem. army got any more names or are ironbank going to stick with the young 1s again?

Birdwood have developed a five year plan around trying to keep their good bunch of youngsters from leaving to Central clubs.
They know they will struggle in the first few years but are hoping for results after that. Their Senior and Junior colts have been strong over the last few years and have plenty of numbers. I hope they can find the bickeys to recruit some names to bolster their stock though.

It does not bode well that they are advertising now for key postition players when all other clubs started in October. They will obviously learn the hard way and end up with the mercanaries that do not help them or their juniors. They need to think club people first, talent second.
