Jack Thompson, playing Laurie Holden (who had played over 200 games of VFL and was a coach), filmed one segment when, for a handball, he threw the ball in the air and then handballed it. John Howard (the actor, not the PM), in one of his first acting roles, was the club's star recruit, but spun the ball very oddly before kicking in any match scenes.

I love that movie :D

Got drafted by the Crows didn't he?

One of the few AFL players who took marks with his hands backwards under the ball, judging by the sections of play filmed for Neighbours.

Please excuse me I'm still mourning his death.

Jason Moran in the first underbelly scene was another example
he goes to kick or handball with his kids and is absolutely horrible.

The actor who played Libby's husband, Dan Paris i think?, his character was a star footballer, but his efforts were absolutely cringeworthy when filming footy scenes a few years back.

Sarah Palin says she could beat President Obama in 2012

Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin has said she could defeat President Barack Obama in the 2012 election.

Mrs Palin made the declaration in an interview with ABC, one of several recently in which she has said she was weighing a presidential bid.

Or at least it would be funny if the prospect of the woman who told Americans in all seriousness that our NHS had 'death panels' to decide who should live and who should die becoming President of the most dominant super-power on the planet wasn't quite so frightening. And they're stupid enough to vote for her too.

"Sarah Palin stands by made-up word 'refudiate', compares self to Shakespeare"

Refudiate is not a word — at least, not one that appears in the dictionary. But don’t try telling former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin. She’s been dropping refudiate bombs all over the place lately, and she’s not about to give up.

Apparantly he was quite drunk and was sitting on one of the bins inside the arena. Supervisor went up to ask him to hop off the bin, and copped a mouthful of abuse from the guy. So front of house supervisor gets called. He asks him to move, gets the same abuse, so out he went!

haha what about CLARKO? :D He was actually played by a real footballer - Clint Bizzell - but he was the biggest knob jockey. He initiated Ringo into the Carlton Football Club (  ) by inviting him to a party full of naked chicks. Or something like that. Maybe it was the dudes who got naked. Something ridiculous anyway.

...just got even funnier/scarier...

Billionaire Donald Trump 'may run for US presidency'

US property tycoon Donald Trump has said he is considering running for president in 2012.

In an interview with ABC News, the billionaire Republican said he could "easily" spend more than $200m (£126m) of his own money on his campaign.

"It could be fun because I'd like to see some positive things happen for the country," he said.

He added that he would happily take on former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, who many believe will join the race.

What a shame only those born in America can become President...having Arnie join in would pretty much complete the set
