Great call WW!

Well thankyou BB. I was also filled with ponderment (yes its a word if i say its a word) as to how many weddings happen on a friday evening  . As previously stated though, good luck to Flinders being able to convince WI to resechedule the game until...wait for it FEB  One can only assume that is a once of occurence and wont happen again until NaFiannas game time clashes with my 30th b,day in a couple of years ;)

Buck show is part of a wedding isnt it?

In a slightly morbid note. Today would have been the 46th Birthday of Norm Murphy. Still sadly missed a little over 4 months since his passing. Im certain Normy would be thrilled that the competition has continued to thrive despite his passing. One can only assume he is up there restructuring St Peters admin system and is now in charge of Junior Sport whilst spending his evenings telling the original Johnny Walker that Jamiesons is a far superior product... RIP Normy

I heard that the new Adelaide Oval Western Grand Stand was 3 months behind schedule. So they hired Matt Doecke, for an hour ;)
Also good to see our 3 tipping leaders with different tips. We might see our first outright leader by this Sunday. :D

Just been checking my Keithy Martin almanac and got the long range forecast out. Just so happens the last minor round game before finals in Feb/March will be Onkas v NaFianna mens played on the sunday. By the looks of it one team may need two points (a win) to make the finals. Season couldn't be set up any better...

...on checking though the weather gods though have said it is going to be 40+ degrees which means the heat rule comes into play and the game is called off. What a disappointing end to one teams chances...but then the Onkas and Nafianna lads come to an "agreement", they reschedule in advance and agree to play on the friday night a couple days before...

Could this now happen?

You could just move the game to 8.45pm on the Sunday and its problem solvered!!! But your thirst for intrique is only good for this thread ;) ....A lot of blokes from Na Fianna wouldnt have a clue what they are doing after the game on Sunday so i wouldnt go asking them to many questions about 2011. The biggest re-scheduling effort we have made is the PNU clique moving the Sunday after match meal from KFC to Nandos. Sorry Colonel Harlaand :(

Two great friday nights in a row weather wise.

Onkas to get over the top of the Post boys by 10-15. The Onkas machine just purring nicely at this time of the year.

WI to defeat NaFianna by 1-5 points. The goats finished well in the second half and were very clinical in front of the big uprights. The goats run over the top of the Irish lads last week and I can see the same thing happening this week. Young Gags and Klunny to be amongst the best with big Jolls to cause some headaches where ever he lines up.

Irish to defeat Mitcham by 1-5 points. Nothing like the local derby for both these sides. Game could go either way. Mitcham boys getting their hands on the ball quite regularly and with some precise finishing will cause trouble to most teams. Have some terrific talent in TommyG, Chris Carey, Gomez and Oz. Irish boys have been more consistent this year than in the past. Struggle though to play the game out and seem a bit patchy at times. Interesting again how many of the lads show up. Irish boys will need big games from the likes of he young lads like Pauly, Haynesy, Huss and Kane Chippy if they are to get up.

Final game of the round is Saints v Flinders. Expect a tight encounter and if Flinders get their best on the park expecting a 1-5 point margin to the Flinders boys. Finishing of the Flinders boys will tip the result in their favour. Saints boys just going along getting the job done and coach Aaron Millsy knows they always improve after Xmas and you don't need to be at your best in November.

You do need to finish in the top 4 to win the Hannigan Cup though with the new system. Just on our game....I believe Jolly will be unleashed in the midfield this week with BRocca
