May pay to wear a lid I reckon Fineleg.

Its not like Matty will be there to bounce him!

His other "team mates" might do it for him.

The old fasioned "beam ball" may make an appearance tonight. :D
There once was a bloke named Fracka,
Scored runs since he was a young tacka,
But alas not anymore,
his shot selection's been poor,
and now they call him QUACKA!!

This is good news for all local clubs.

It is good news if council make up their mind on how to do things. They have renovated the rooms at R & C and we are still not in there. The council would have spent 60k + and it’s just sitting there waiting for us to move in. We were meant to be in there at the start of the season but this is still not to be.
The council have done a great job. New Bar, Toilets, Showers, Air Con, Carpet the works. The reasons were not in there is because of legal paperwork and a few residents complaints. We have played cricket at Ridley for 10 years + and never once have we had any trouble with riff raff. The reasons for people’s concerns was years ago when it was a footy club things got out of hand but in the time we have been there not once have we had a problem. One thing that gets me is we could be paying rent and not relying on tax payers money while it sits there and does nothing.
Anyway that my whinge I just can’t wait to get in there. It will be nice to sit back and have a beer with our mates instead of drinking at the R&C Hotel.

Spot on mate, maybe this mayor fella needs to be informed of this? i cant believe the bullshit that is going on with these clubrooms, have been in them once and i must say they are what every club would want, but it seems 4 people who live on the street are not happy with them, where the **** has common sense gone, like ss said not once has the cops been called out.
Maybe the council likes spending shit loads of our money on something that is just sitting there doing nothing? its a absolute joke and needs to be taken higher than the peanut that is making these decision...

you shouldnt expect to walk into a A grade district side without proving yourself first, if hes good enough he will earn that spot. if he's struggling for runs in pdca question marks over his ability will exist. so play b grade and perform or your just not good enough. lucky hes not starting of in the C's after leaving ttg. i personally question the loyalty, once you start a season a player should show committment to his team mates!

Well played..

well done with that one, i bet you just come up with some classic comments on the field.. Like the good old “well left“ after a team mate plays and misses, and not forgetting the old “pick ya fielder“ on a miss field, would just be a barrel of laughs with you out there

sorry forgot you were the fun police :D

I prefer the when beaten by a good ball to say to the bowler - no point bowling that to me as I aint good enough to get a an edge on it

generally didnt talk a lot when batting - why give someone ammo at you - especially fast bowlers as they are nutters in the first place ;) Isn't that correct LM

We tend to pay each other out more than what we do the opposition, if you drop a catch or make bugger all you'd better brace yourself, all in good fun though. :D
Shaun Maguire used to be a classic, we'd be chasing a decent total and we'd pin our hopes on him making a score to help us out. He'd get bowled trying to belt something over cow corner that was a ripper ball and come off with a huge smile and say "Gee that didn't quite go where it was meant to".
He was one of the best blokes to play cricket with, always smiling, always happy no matter what the situation was.
One day we went out in the field after tea break and realized there was no keeper (Magsy), we looked over at the pub and seen a bloke running out of the bar with keeping pads on, jumped in his yellow Torry and raced back over, "sorry fella's just had to watch the race, it's ok, I won".
