He'd be creeping up on 40 now so just wondering if his bionic shoulder still whips the ball down at scary speeds or has he mellowed a bit?

On the under 21's. Do you have a list of the players in the comp who are under 21 and are performing. Maybe contact blokes directly rather than trusting clubs to do it.

Nah mate, I used to donate them to his cricket bag, he didn't steal them... :p  No coincidence there were several armys of ants in it by the end of the day. ;) I don't know how many deck chairs I funded over the years, but these days at 10c a can, he could've upgraded from the Cunno's version..

The problem is people having the time to personally ring blokes individually. I haven't even been able to do that with the Senior group, let alone the U21's. :? The thing is we shouldn't have to hold people's hands and give them the big, inspirational speech to fire 'em up to get excited about Inter-Association matches, in additional to all the rest of the work that goes on behind the scenes and people donating their rare free time to make it happen. Quite simply, if they don't come out, there will be no U21's. And the knockers can either put up or shut up. End of story.

End of rant.. :p

I think we'll still manage to gather a side Harry, and yes, that will mean some younger guys get a crack at it. ;) Don't be afraid to sneak out on a Wednesday night At Prospect after 5:30pm the next 6wks either mate, it'll do you the world of good, and who knows, you might even crack the final 13 for Sydney if you're free & keen. 8)

Well thats good to hear then.
Ill be out Wednesday night for a net sesh. Can only train till around 6:45 due to work committments, but ill be there for sure. The training is on turf isnt it?

Harry good to see you are as arragont as Pidge bad luck like the rest of your team you dont have the talent to back it up. From what i have seen this year PV seem to have a batting order that works(I dont think they have lost a game) mean while not sure if you have won a game. Just an observation but if you Swapped your batting order it could not hurt. Maybe just keep your opinions to your self until you can back your mouth up.
I wish i was still playing would love to come up against you boys.

Haha im hardly arrogant George. If we didnt have the talent then why did we make the GF last year :) Just cos we are blooding some youth doesnt mean we lack talent. And for the record we beat Rose Park, the only reason why we have won only one game is because we have to play the 2 best sides (PV and NEK) in the competition twice in the first 5 rounds. So we are due for a better run soon

At Pos 3 you get a harder ball and the ball comes onto you better and the field is up. You also can pretty much play your own game at 3. At 5/6 the ball is softer/slower and the field is spread, and you might have to temper your natural game for the good of the team depending on whether weve had another one of our fitzroy collapses. Play your natural game mate and you will score runs.
George - Dont take too much to heart mate, Pidge and Harry are not arrogant and Pidge would probably be at the opposite end of the spectrum to arrogant.

Oh i understand now Auto. Then how come Pidge is batting 5 or 6?
You raise some good points there Auto, But when you're batting at #3 in the Roys team, you are almost classed as an opening batsman :P
But im pretty keen to go out and make some runs against NEK this week. The ground has good value for shots thats for sure.

If he turned 21 on the 1st, it would've definitely been a YES, he can play. But not 22yo on the 1st mate. Spewin'! :(

Having said that, a few years ago we were struggling for numbers and were given permission to play U22's as well. Let's see what we've got when we pick the team.. ;)

Yea cant go passed Carlton. We'll be around the mark again next season.
Im hoping to make a score this week, but then again i hope to do that every week. But i must say it is a little bit scary facing you with the new ball, especially after that toe crusher in the Twenty20 haha. I think its because ur deceptively quick, just stroll in and then fire them down. Caught me out in the Twenty20 thats for sure.
But im pretty sure Pidge is the one to tell not to bring donuts, he gets them discounted at the local Coles for 31 cents haha.

Jarrad from Enfield will be a very good bowler in years to come. I believe he took 6fa on the weekend.
Matt Sandford will be a quality A Grade Cricketer in a few years time too.

Good to see an Adelaide Lutheran player out last night. Hopefully he can spread the word to some of his teammates and get them keen to play.

That my friend, would be Jarrad McLeod. 17 years old, got plenty of growth to spirt yet and boy can he hit the spot. Im told bowled 20+ overs straight Saturday. I only got to see 7 of them though of which 5 were maidens :? Wish I was 17 again

Ask PHANTOM how Craig Balneaves is..i heard he admitted himself to Glenside straight after the match  and i also heard that the breaking point was when Hutchy's lover blew the ball a kiss :-* and waved it Goodbye :-h as it went sailing back over Crackers head for a six such was the arrogance of the man

Sutts or Copes?? ;)

Copes didn't stick it out till the bitter end of TTG. He jumped ship a couple of years earlier. ;)

Good the hear Crackers is still going ok. I catch up with him regularly but it's hard to get an honest appraisal of his own performance from the big guy.

Thanks for the input guys. I've been trying to get him back out to Glenunga to play LOAs but so far no luck. Maybe next season....
