What's the problem mate??

well LQ his problem was mainly is ego he thought good bowling was about speed! i tryed telling him you can be as quick as you like but if your all over the show like a mad womens piss the quicker you bowl the quicker it goes to the fence! and everytime i tryed to help him telling what to do and what not to to his reply was 'what did you bowl for australia dutchy' thats the sort've thing i get from him!

so yesterday i bowled him about 4th or 5th change and into the wind to try and get him not to try and bowl quick but to hit his ares and that he did his efforts were very good about 8 or 9 overs in a row 3/30odd and bowled very well lets hope his turned the cnr for the rest of the year.

Yes, thought it was a tad strange that NEK opened the batting with The Great Man today. Personally, I would've pencilled him in to come to the wicket after the 4th or 5th wicket after a bit of shine had been taken off the pill, but then again, if the move had come off, it would've been lauded as great captaincy. ;)

Excellent knocks from Gorski & Frick, with Smith looking all class and the best batsman in the match. And it would be remiss of me not to post this pic.. Looks pretty comprehensive doesn't it? ;) However, the verdict was not out! It was a free hit, the ball after a front foot no-ball. Would you like to talk us through this shot please Mr Bored..??

Nek 8/114 (Gorski, Mills and McCluskey amongst the runs, 3 wickets for Frick)
Para Vista passed the total in the 17th over only three down, Smith, Frick and Marshall in good touch for Para Vista.

Smasha unfortunately fell for a second ball duck. Lots of blokes from both teams, including Smasha, still really sore from yesterday's matches.

From what i seen PV just played a simpler more consitant and risk free brand of cricket.

In my opinion, NEK shot themselves in the foot by opening the batting with their main strike weapon especially after he bowled 24 overs straight yesterday! Also NEK seemed to lack depth in the bowling stocks, everything seemed one paced. Throw into the mix the extras given away with the wides, no balls etc and they were their own worst enemy!

Interesting to see also that Gorski after all this time STILL hasnt learnt that if you bowl short half track rubbish you cant hit the stumps  if he had dished that rubbish up to Salisbury West NEK wouldve been chasing in excess of 200!

Jon Smith is simply a class above, has amazing poise and shot selection and IMO along with Marshall will be the X factors for PV against Salisbury West.

Brett Tarca batted too high as well, Richie Marshall shouldve done the right thing and gone in before him... dont be such a wuss in future hutchy :P

p.s poor form by the millionares club para vi$$$ta by yelling out rubbish to the fielders of NEK to drop catches, particularly after the match was sewn up! Weak effort!

I dont wanna point the finger but im pretty sure it was Richie Marshalls future successor as annoying mug of PV in Aaron Timms :D :P

PV would wanna hope their "ettiquette" doesnt serve as motivation for NEK in the future (i.e grand final) and come back to bite them square on their gold plated asses!!

Gorski was bowling... Rooster finally called one of his 24 front foot no balls and I expected it to go wizzing past my nose instead of actually at the stumps.

Gee PhantAm thanks for not pointing the finger or naming anyone....but sorry it wasn't me! I believe one person may of yelled drop it. The rest of the cheering was for the fact that they scored the winning runs off the dropped catch....I never actually said a word.

On the topic though, i meant no disrespect to any of the NEK boys by not going out there to shake hands. I was only 12th man and stood out on the field for 2 overs. Maybe i should of?? I don't think what was said needs to be repeated! Mainly cuz i couldn't hear or understand the spray i was given. I didn't think we were the only team that lacked that little bit of cricket "ettiquette" though.....

Anyway a good game played by the boys, and i don't know why you don't believe me phantAm richie isn't hutchy!!! ;) ;)

It was off your indoor cricket run up though baldo ;)

Well bowled Saturday though mate. Still had great control with that cake of soap, and put nearly everything in the batsman's half despite the conditions. And thanks for showing some courtesy to my old man when his 1970s deck chair gave way, which evidently gave the game a laugh it needed. Commiserations on todays effort but reckon you might have an eye on the bigger prize. ;)

agree with the first part PhantAm, that sort of crap you would expect to see from an under 10's side but not from us, and we certainly made that quite clear to the one player who called out. Its his first year with us, he's still a bit green but a very promising player for the future. So yeah, to NEK on behalf of our club i apologise. ( Dont worry he was docked 50% of his player payment for that ;) )
It was a bad end to a good day for us, as up to that point the game was played in the spirit it should be played in.

As for Richie batting infront of Tarcs, Rich aint captain any more so he was just acting under instruction, we have our reasons for batting Tarcs there. Enough said.

i would have thought that NEK dont need any more motivation to win, their a solid outfit who have maybe 3 of the best 4 or 5 batters in the comp. the'll be there at the end

Docking him 50% of his match payments is a bit steep! How will he afford his mortgage repayments this week! :P

Fair enough of the Brett part, just think going into the next round of matches you would want to run with your strongest possibly batting lineup and IMO Marshall is one of your best. Also think Cossens could be a key weapon for you against SW.

As for the 3rd part hmm not sure i agree completely, i think Smith is the best, then Marshall then prob Mills. From there i think its a large group who all are around the same mark. Smasha is obviously a major game breaker and big hitter but not sure you can class him in the same group as the aforementioned
