Haven't seen this leauge at all..

But all the grounds I've seen appear to be quite small - Mt. Barker, Mt. Lofty & Bridgewater.

Is this a common theme, with the other teams grounds?
& how does this effect the style of game played?

I wouldn't say all the grounds are small; there are only two really small grounds in Ironbank and Bridgewater. The rest of the ovals are much more of a regular shape with some longer ones (Uraidla) and some wider ones (Blackwood) and some of them have a slop to them. Blackwood, Mt Lofty, Birdwood and Uraidla.

The small ovals don’t really have a major affect on how the game is played. They maybe a bit higher scoring and some of the teams with more running players don't generally play well there, but overall it makes very little difference.

After this years GF it got me thinking, has anyone gone undefeated in Central Div and won the flag? I can think of teams that went through the regular season undefeated (Hahndorf 2000, 98?, Uri 2007, Mt Barker this year) but all those teams lost GF's. Any side gone all the way through? Mt Barker in 03 perhaps?

When and watched a few games this year & i wouldn't of thought the size & shape of the grounds had too much to do with the results, but more so the conditions of the oval (speaking only of the finals, not any another time) i understand this has been spoken about before, so i'm not going to flog a dead horse. However you would hope the HFL have organised better ovals for the finals next year, regardless of whos or where they are... :)

Keeping in mind the finals series this year was particularly wet which didn't help the cause of many ovals. most ovals in the hills in september would have been pretty boggy. In all, I don't think the ovals in the HFL (Centrals & Country) are too bad at all compared to other leagues I have played in - however Bridgewater on a wet day and Ironbank anytime are the exception of course.

Barker dropped 1 game in both 03 & 04. Roos 83 premiship was undefeated but that was a while ago!

I think TV could possibly struggle next year with possible outs,
McDowell
Gunning
Sitters
Byrne x2
Hill
Clayton
Smitheran and Smith (probably only B graders next year)
With the loss of all these players i believe they will start on 2 or 3 points. Some smart recruiting will need to be done. Have heard they maybe throwing alot at Tanunda duo Kennedy and Wells, Kennedy being a 0 pointer. Wells maybe a smarter option than Ohara who would carry big points.

I'm told Blackwood no longer want Padroth at their club anymore, is he moving on?

Considering I saw him kicking the ball the some of the Blackwood Players, mid last week at the club, I thought he would still be there, but things could have changed since then,

Well now you can play on grounds you like to play on, no need to complain about playing at Ironbank or Bridgewater,

so like I said, enjoy!

I drove past balhannah last night to see Onkas out training already. Its a bit early isnt it. The older boys like Kluny, Dingo dibba ect will be burnt out by round 1. Called in for a look was about 30-35 players out there but couldnt really see any new recruits just a lot of young kids running around. Have they kept there recruits from last year? Cause i couldnt see any of them out there.

It was posted earlier that they recruited someone who is going to be one of the comps top players. See anyone out there fitting that description? I would assume he would be recognizable the way he was written about.

Been told by a close friend that the Roos will have atleast one more league glenelg player next year! Handy addition! Is that confirmed about the Eberts? Big loss if so! I would put them both in the top ten players in the league! And Ironbank have some key injuries already too!
