woke up to my 3 and a half year old lad in bed with me the other morning, and this conversation followed....

ME: "Kobe, where are your pants?"
KOBE: "I took them off"
ME: "Why?"
KOBE: "Coz they were boring"

i've probably used the same excuse before!

I saw them lined up at 8:30am yesterday morning! Mind you, I also saw people line up for Jason Derulo at around the same time too.

This morning, drove past around the same time and no one was lining up...yet.

Watching actors on a TV show with a football, and their efforts in kicking, marking and handballing

Always good fun to see those who have clearly never picked up a ball in their lives, but are playing the role of a footballer (eg. most of the Erinsborough Dingoes in Neighbours - the camera pans away when Scott Major - Lucas - goes for a kick or mark; Hugh Sheridan's efforts in Packed To The Rafters last night were also....less than that of a footballer).

On the other hand, some of them have obviously played the game before. Angus McLaren (Nathan on Rafters) last night indicated in a few short shots that he had clearly played at a fair level.

Leon Byner -

I can only pick up am on the radio in my office at work so generally just leave it on cruise quietly in the background but knocked the dial this morning and found myself listening to Leon going off like a frog in a sock about something to do with a wedding, a subaru used as a wedding car, petrol (i assume for said car) and a fine. The ranting and raving made me leave it on for a listen, he must have interviewed 5 people in about 3 or 4 minutes including robert brokenshire and isobel redmond and then some bloke from a govt department who he berated but the guy somehow managed to keep his cool........was like today tonight without the pictures!

And after all of that ...i still dont know what the issue was!
Trust the process.

Yes, Neighbours is notorious for being very comical the way they show sporting contents between characters. Even funnier when one of the characters is a star footballer and is on the verge of being drafted but the actor has no idea what they're doing.

Hugh Sheridan, being from South Australia has no real excuse for his lack of prowess :)

Speaking of drafts - people doing 'phantom' drafts before the actual draft.

Way to much time on your hands folks.

One of the few AFL players who took marks with his hands backwards under the ball, judging by the sections of play filmed for Neighbours.

It's a little like when the movie "The Club" was filmed. Jack Thompson, playing Laurie Holden (who had played over 200 games of VFL and was a coach), filmed one segment when, for a handball, he threw the ball in the air and then handballed it. John Howard (the actor, not the PM), in one of his first acting roles, was the club's star recruit, but spun the ball very oddly before kicking in any match scenes.
