T. Hodson
J. Smith
A. Frith
M. Cossens
M. Frith
S. Holland
S. Giglio
P. Atkins
A. Balding
J. Vines
A. Gully
P. Wright
M. Stancl

I think this would be a good squad to take away.

A darkhorse for selection could be D. Frick from Para Vista can bowl and bat and has played on turf before..

If you were picking the best team based on proven ability Lee Mills would be the stand out keeper batsman, if not just for his batting alone . The hardest thing is getting the best players available committing to play Assoc cricket.

Hey Scooter or should i say Captain Obvious. Agreed Millsy is the best Batsman/Keeper but i believe you have give Marc Cossens his dues i believe he may even be the all Australian keeper from last carnival. All reports are that millsy has never been keen to go. Look forward to catching up for a beer

scooter, captain obvious???? do you have something to tell us scooter ? I do agree that cousins is by far the right choice for keeper at carni (imo) but would be interesting if BB could last 5 days I would say that he would also be highly sought after aswell. as for the carnival I hope to see some other people come out to training and have a go , you dont need to be the best to try . just give it a go and you might be surprised. as for this weather mate wtf. is going on :( just want to play cricket, at moment looks like I might spend some doe on drinks instead of playing??? stupid weather :?

Dont worry Smasha we will get a game in. Cant wait for Sun. I would like to say good luck to both teams whoever wins will represent our association well.

Is this the skinny or tubby Frith? Reckon the tubby one is one of the better bats in the whole comp. One of the few who does not throw his wicket away and builds an innings. Would take both as top 6 batsman but Cuz to keep for me.

Goat if you are looking for recommendations there was a young bloke from Fitzroy last week who bowled well. Spry got all the credit but the young bloke kept it tight at the other end and deserved his share of these wickets. At carnival on turf and with a captain who uses him right and sets the right fields this spinner could be a very handy inclusion. :D

Smasha reckon you should skip the 20/20 on Sunday. It's a long season mate 8)

Hey Hutchy,

How about you give us your opinion on who the Association keeper would/should be. I'm interested to hear your informed & articulate view on the subject. ;) And if you can't give us a decent, factual scoop soon, you're getting the arse and will be replaced by Mike "The Puppet" Sheahan. :p

Forecast for Saturday
Light rain developing early, tending to showers during morning or early
afternoon and easing to a shower or two during the evening. Mild with light to
moderate south to southeast winds.

Lets get those showers over by about 11.00 and then we can play on (If it wont rain to save us when we have seven players it better not ******* rain when we have runs on the board)
