No it isn't Browny, it's the responsibility of the home side.

Looks like I have found myself a job, and the best thing is that BL will probably pay me to do it!! :D

Hahaha well played browny, no need to run on that one...

More for the top two grades I'd say mate where you are pretty much gauranteed an umpire. There's enough variations of the laws of cricket in the lower grades as it is.

With all these other rules that have been introduced I reckon this one would be the best of them.. Def only the top 2 sides..

B&L uses the 30 metre circle for A1, A1 RES and A2 games. works well, some clubs mow a line, some use dots, some a full circle. also have field restrictions for 12 overs, only 2 outside the circle and not required to have 2 catchers, that would be too hard to police IMO

i know we do it every week when required using 30 metre rope and can of paint.
We havnt even had to introduce fines for not doing it as i dont think any club has not done it. every club has a dirty slapper that loves the restrictions and makes sure it is marked

I think its a no brainer, I also think pdca should start it this year, no need for meetings just a email to all clubs and its done, and just to get the ball rolling you lose points and a fine if its not marked come sat...
Its to easy to just put men on the boundry when lets say bomber is teeing off, make the captains set fields that force blokes to go over the top.. Sunday was a perfect example..

Pfft sick of reading stupid diplomatic posts like that, why cant people be upfront and confident?
I play for fun and to WIN! And i play to WIN PREMIERSHIPS! no better feeling IMO than sharing the glory of a flag with ya mates.

Why cant people say "hey yeah im in it to win it, i wanna flag and thats my goal"

Who cares what other clowns and clubs think
Stuff your one game at a time crap, yeah i focus on each game as it comes, only for the larger scheme of things come end of season! Every move, every decision is made in relation to putting my side in the best possible position to win and to secure a finals berth and to increase chances of winning a grand final!

I actually agree, i enjoy seeing more attacking aggressive fields in place, makes for a far more exciting battle. I think too often you see captains go straight on the defensive and spread the field enabling blokes to pick up easy 1s and 2s until they are set to go BANG!

Having said that i think Sunday proved just how inexperienced batsman were in relation to T20 and to playing against restrictions like such, i.e r&c really prob cost themselves that game, from what i seen with the exception of bomber, everyone appeared to approach it as if they needed to knock the cover off every ball and hit it out the ground, particularly after the restrictions had expired instead of picking gaps and working the ball and capitilising on the opportunities

Well if you knew me you would no that I only play to win premierships, and celebrating with ya mates, we will def give it a crack but our prob is there is a few other teams that think the same, personly I wont settle for just making the 4, anything but a premiership and I will be shattered.... Go you rosies...

I have found the restrictions of only 5 out late in the innings are even better than the early restrictions. there is always at least one spot u can pick to hit the boundary

I think that can happen in any game, the blokes that went out there a natural hitters, it worked for sals west in the final and will of course suck the odd batsmen in, but sometimes thats not that hard to do...
