With the tragic passing of a Blackwood Football Club Legend, Simon Heinson.

I heard a rumour that the HFL has said to Blackwood that they can decide who they will be playing in the first game of the year and/or whether it will play it at home aswell.

What a good sign of repect by the HFL.

I have been waiting for someone to make this very sad announcement. Was in absolute shock when i heard. My sincere condolences to the Heinson family and Blackwood community.

Heard from a good bridgy boy that this years coach will nearly as or if not as succesful as last years coach and i think everyone would agree that Shane Lynch is probably one of the best coaches we've ever seen in the HFL

Given that the first draft of the program puts Blackwood at home to Ironbank I think it's a perfect draw for honoring Simon.

Would have thought he'd be moving on with most of the other recruits from last year. IMO it's another case of the club paying average footballers top coin. Seems to happen year after year, but is the only way to get any recruits to the club.

on Eckermann. He is overseas at the moment but due to return in March (so i'm told). Would think the money would be too good to leave.

Heard from a very credible source that Nathan Eagleton is heading to Uraidla in 2011 for top coin. $1500-$2000 a game ive been told. Apparently he is good mates with a few of the local lads, namely Aaron 'cartso' Carter who played state 18s with the former Bulldog. If correct, this is a huge signing!

wow good news for the comp if true  but is this sort of money boardering on totally ridiculous ? wouldnt be many clubs left if they were forking out this sort of cash .. Have herd word around the hills is that loftys spending sprees on players is a thing of the past as well :o :o This has to give somewhere and it will eventually send some clubs to the wall unless they are well managed . :(

Have heard that the A Jarman coaching tv rumour wasn't true but not too far off the mark. Instead could be his brother Darren.

Wow... so your first name is GULL and last name IBLE. Silly rumour and your source is less than credible. Would suggest if your going to post stuff like that you may as well go the whole hog and state Brad Johnson will be joining him. Nathan will be associated with an SANFL club in 2011. If he was going to play local footy it would be with Johnny who will probably remain at Strath next year. Now can someone post some factual information for a change.

From what im told, the club isn't payinf the same coin next season but will be introducing a descent incentive based program! So wouldn't think he'd get anywhere near what he got this year, if the club sticks to their word!

Had a look at the proposed draw for 2011. I think the HFL have got it right the first time, well done. It looks like a great "10 team" competition draw.
