Hasn't he been at PHOS more recently?

Is his brother still at The Sharks?

Don't believe his brother is still there 85. Think he left with the debacle that was Hart, Biglands era.

As for Sam Talbot, I think it goes something like Aldinga, Phos, Bridgewater and now back to Aldinga. Will soon have more clubs than Greg Norman if he continues at this pace!!

Sam Talbot was a Glenelg U19s player in 2008 but played at Aldinga when not selected for the Bays. He could have gone to Brighton or PHOS then as they were the Glenelg feeder clubs, but he chose Aldinga as he wanted to play with his brother.
This probably didn't help his chances of re-selection as GFC's scouts wouldn't have gone to watch Sharks games, and being beaten convincingly each match wouldn't have really given him a chance to prove his case to go back in. He ended up missing selection in Bays 19s finals and premiership that year.

I rate him as a good pick up for Aldinga, and wish him well.

Talbot will be a good pick up for aldinga however not sure if he'll have a big impact at the sharks, they'll need to get a spine before their smaller players can hav any real effect

Talk around the traps is that they are just out for money...... wont see any of that coin over the bar

Dont believe me? Ask ur recruiting officers.

even if your figures are a joke, should we apoligise for being a struggling club, trying to improve, and to do so we have to pay some players? we must be the only club in Australia paying players are we?

usually it's middle-of-the-ladder teams that dipsh!ts like you talk poo about how much they're spending trying to add that missing piece to be a contender, this year it us is it?

in that case........

We're sorry for trying to better ourselves. We're sorry we don't want to settle for bottom or second bottom every year for the rest of our existance. We're sorry we want to be able to push, and one day hopefully beat teams like Flaggies, Marion, Noarlunga and Porties. We're sorry mate. We're truly sorry.

good to see ur still passionate about the sharks TBB Good luck in 2011 sure ill hear all about it wen u win a few

Im not sure what everyone expects Aldinga to do,they get bagged for being not good enough and they get bagged for recruiting to get better.Paid players are a fact of life in footy these days, they serve a purpose and hopefully they stay for a few years to see the club turn around. The thing you hope is that you have signed good blokes as well as good footballers who hang around on a Sat nite and get involved with the club.Good on Aldinga for doing this, surely we need all teams to be more competitive and the comp to get stronger.
If the only reason you play is for a beer with your mates after the game, your playing for the wrong reasons !!

Well said, Tatts
Anything that helps either Aldinga or Hackham lift themselves should be backed up by all of us.

TBB is coorect and well done for Aldinga actively trying to improve.

As for $350 a game.. well...

How would you put your hand out for that kind of money in a losing team?

You would be better off giving three or four blokes $100 each.

Bridgewater were very happy to see the back end of Longman... interesting decision.

Massive debacle seeing that was the most wins the club have had in the past 10 years, but good to see Aldinga on the front foot Brad is doing a great job and hopefully the Sharks start to move back up the ladder and repay his hard work...

I hope there is some good recruiting happening there regardless of what money is spent, the question is are they retaining all the 'A' graders from last year???

Wont mean shit if they leave and have these guys comng into nothing.

The clubrooms are pretty much finished, will most likely be open next week. They are looking 100% better. More seating space available in the resteraunt now, more patrons, more money. One more step to Aldinga being competitive again.

hope soon that teams start to respect aldinga fc wen they play them, in '08 we had respect from opposition teams. wot happened at end of 08 only that committee knows. but peple are right aldinga must recruit a few quality players and pay them for 3 to 4 years it becomes a lot easier to recruit players for less $$$$ wen you have a winning culture plus wen u win kids want to be apart of your club
