Amazing how much the soil level has risen around the pitch over time being covered during footy and patched up etc.

How will BL go in Turf cricket?

Well I hope, I think we are putting things in place on and off the field to be competitive, we have some turf experience in the A grade now so that is useful. It will be a steep learning curve though no matter what happens.

Are you confident of retaining Bailey and Reeves for next season? Huitema etc only played B2 cricket and didn't exactly set the world on fire.

What is greenwith oval like? Bowling run ups? Size?

To be honest I have never been there So I don't know. Some of the guys who do have said its well maintained. I know it was top dressed at the start of the season so its got to be in better nick than our real home ground. :)

I wouldn't know about any of that, but we believe for the future of the club as a whole we are heading in the right direction with this move. It has been something we have been considering for a few years now.

That would mean a lot of northern suburbs clubs in Turf cricket. BL, Ingle Farm, Modbury, Penfield, Golden Grove, Para Hills, Gepps Cross, Pooraka, Kilburn. Along with all the PDCA clubs, northern suburbs cricket would have to be a lot stronger than any other area.

Missing one of them this match... Another opportunity for a young lad though. Always an eye on the future.

Look forward to catching up LM.
