thought smith was injured so badly the other night he couldn't bowl. i am going to asume that he is not in front of ferg as a specialist batsmen so it must have been some sort of recovery.

Great comment on the live scores on cricifo:

"Wasn't there some talk a while back of Mitchell Johnson learning reverse swing? It seems he has only learnt reverse accuracy," says Nath. Good one.

Seriously - what has happened to Johnson. After the test tour of South Africa a couple of years back he looked like we was on the cusp of becoming a top player. Since then he's really just coughed and spluttered along without really putting it together. A shame really, I really enjoy watching him both with bat and ball when he's in form.

And another one:

As my cousin Simon noted on Wednesday night: "Mitchell Johnson needs two more tattoos: "line" on one hand and "length" on the other. Maybe GD McGrath can do the work; it'd be precise."

How did Horry get an LBW, they must've expected the ball to turn.

Sri Lanka 2/161 (34.0)

WU Tharanga 70 (99)
KC Sangakkara 28 (38)

Would think over 300 is well on the cards here, if the rain stops and they get their 50 overs

The thing is they are not doing anything that exciting out there. They are just plodding along with ease.

8 wickets in the shed and some big hitting ability i think they are in a very good spot to push for 300, Tharanga can open up and that Perera? was hitting a long ball in the T20
