Pretty sure Mick's gone back to EP, or atleast thats what ive been hearing. Big loss, but hopefully we can cover him with some of the other guys stepping up to fill the void. The guy is a class footballer but didnt handle the heavy tag well IMO which is pretty much what he copped every week up here. Sad to see him go but hopefully it wont hurt us too much.

my mail is signed at gummies with a clause in his contact to get out if better offer comes along or wants to leave to play at another club for wat eva reason, dont no if my mail is very reliable though.bloody forward line has some talent in it, interesting to see with all the guns up there if it works cause they all like to be the target, could get interesting thats for sure..

I think that was always our thinking really. If he wants to go play at a higher level or some other club throws cash at him that we cant match, which I believe there are some who were sniffing around, then anyone not just Mick will leave will the blessing of the club.

As for the main target in the forwardline, theyll spend weeks arguing with Quinno for it !!!

crichton is replaceable. a handy forward pocket/hff but is too small and slow to play on the ball in this league. is a great guy and really embraced the club this year and would be a shame to see him go.

wakefield has said every year for the past 5 years that he will leave and play somewhere else but its never eventuated. nice guy, outstanding talent and probably top 4-5 in the league but missed alot of games this year when the club needed him and wasnt a particularly good captain. however if he was ever to leave i think this would be the year.

if they loose him along with raidis and thorpe retiring and lipari also moving on could be in deeper shit than they were this year having already lost stringer, wallfried, the jacksons, guitink and ewens.

something doesnt seem right at this club.

Yeah I think your right, is there any chance Crichton could line up with Maccelsfield, with his ex Cove coach down there now?

Thorpe was very unlucky, & probably a legend at the club. Hopefully he & radar can do some fast taking, a hold on to a few of these guys..

I actually find it funny that Gum people are still filthy with Gary Hughes after he took over the club and paid all his own recruits plenty then left them and took everyone with him which left Gum struggling. Does the current situation bring back a few dark memories guys!
That aside i think they will do ok next year, i'm tipping them for 3rd behind Kersbrook and Echunga and just ahead of Birdwood.

Heard Kersbrook could be gaining the services of past players Brad Lees, Dylan Bingos whilst adding rival Josh Laube and experienced Matthew Slade to the stocks next year.
