Brilliant effort this arvo.

Weird, but our record against top 4 sides this year has been better than the last couple. Beat the Saints and Geelong, got within a kick of Collingwood and only lost to the Bulldogs by 8 points.

Greetings Earthling. If the Crows are to make the top eight next season, and with The Roos and I believe Melbourne with their draw to challenge strongly, who misses out? I am tipping your record against Geelong, St Kilda and Collingwood might not be as flattering in 2011 but you'll pick up some wins against the lesser sides that you might have missed out on in 2010. I see you just outside of the eight.

Greetings Space Cadet. Gee, your telecasts sure are delayed up there aren't they? ;)

In the words of the great man, I don't give a rats tossbag who misses out on the 8. I'm just confident it won't be us again. :D

Ah yes, but if you are to make this eight of yours then you have to stay ahead of certain sides and overtake a couple of well. Seeing as an optimistic Blackbird such as yourself is unable to nominate which sides they might be, I'll sticking by my original prognostication.

Sydney - no certainty to make the 8 next year. Same with Bulldogs.

Most people didn't think Carlton would make it this year and they just scraped in so never know with them.

Maybe even Geelong. Look at Brisbane after their dominating years. Dropped to 11th in 05.

Sydney and Carlton will 5hit it in I reckon. That makes the Cows fighting it out for the spot in the eight with North and the Demons.

You are right about one thing, Sydney are no certainty to make the eight next season. But if Geelong don't make the eight next year I'll use any pro Adelaide Avatar on my account next summer until NABullshit starts in 2012. My eight would be North in and Hawthorn out. If Carlton and Sydney don't come up I reckon the Dees might sneak in ahead of the Blackbirds as well. Their draw is sweet as. The Blackbirds go in very young for mine and while they will go forward the eight might take an additional year.

I don't think that the Crows, North, Melbourne are any better than Port.
Port were the second best team at doing what Collingwood did well.

Port's season went downhill the second Tredrea went down and Williams didn't know how to handle the difficult underperforming players like Motlop & Cornes.

I'm not saying Port will make the finals, but they are in the same boat as those other 3.

If Port are so good at doing what Collingwood do how come we notched up eleven goals in one quarter against them. Port are shite. End of story.

Under that logic, Collingwood spanked Geelong to the tune of 82 Points in 2007.
We all know how that turned out. Funnily enough it was vs Port

True, but Port are still shite. With a Redleg and a grandson of a Geelong legend in charge they might get somewhere tho. 8)

Port will be a rejuvenated side next year with the new coaching structure in play and with the likes of Robbie Gray and Hamish Hartlett (fingers crossed) actually fit and firing you never know what could happen. I would certainly put them in the same boat as Adelaide, North and Melbourne although I don't believe any of those three or port will do any damage if they do make the eight. But you never know...

Apparently Travis Boak for the brownlow next year also ;)

Isn't Robbie Gray made out of Balsa wood? Even Brad 'keep sharp objects away from him' Ottens played more than him last year. If it gets too windy down at AAMI he misses three weeks.....I'll put him in my SuperCoach side next year and that will be that for him.

For those not on the Crows board who might want to discuss......

Nathan Van Berlo was appointed as captain of Adelaide for 2011 today.

As voted by the players, they know what they want in a leader and I think he's a good choice. He strikes me as a Mark Bickley type, not a superstar on the field but obviously a popular leader around the club.

I reckon we'll see his game go up a notch with the responsibility too.

Watching him up at brisbane when he filled in as captain impressed me. He does have upside in his game and leadership potential is there. Will be interesting to see how he goes.

What would you have done with these difficult under performing players 7 Dog?

Me personally, I would of kept Chad in the side, as far as Motlop he should of been ar$ed months earlier, he was the problem at the Power & still will be next year.
