RUDI MANDEMAKER

Postby oldeagle » Sat Oct 30, 2010 7:01 pm

Happened to shop at the Hub for the first time time ever today. Came around to the frozen food section and who was standing there but the great man himself. What a terrific bloke. Quite happily chatted away until the missus reeled him in. Asked him if he still had those Capper like shorts, "couldn't get one leg in" was the answer. Had a stent put in and said the media stuff was a beat up.

Love the bloke.
As a Centrals supporter from it's obvious.

But...I remember once as a kid playing a game at Central United and the rumour went around while we were on the ground that Rudi was there.
Looking back it seems strange that Rudi was at the CUFC clubrooms at about 10.30 on a Sunday morning but I guess now I'm older I realise he was probably there either continuing/or picking up from a big night. Why else would you be there?????
Anyway, he was happy to sign autographs after that game and have a chat with the kids, which I thought was pretty good.
Playing for CUFC that day, by the way, was Adam Switala, who often played up the grades with his older brother Matt.
You're my only friend, and you don't even like me.

Idiot mate stole Rudi's Nike Air Max's from his front porch in Salisbury Heights.

Neighbour busted him.

So the thieving SOB returned them.

Never mind they were about four sizes too big...

ha ha, Rudi

When I was a kid I always had this vision of him and Greg Phillips colliding, causing an earthquake which in turn caused a big hole to form in the middle of footy park and swallow them up...
